Car died while making u turn...Help!

I just started my car and I was taking it to the car wash that is about 3 miles away from my house. I was making a u turn to get to the car wash when the whole car just shut off. It started again when I put it in park, but what could this be?
I just put on a 3" cat back exhaust, I don't think that would make it stall like that. I have replaced the fuel filter and spark plugs. Could this be a bad fuel pump? Any help is appreciated.

I also noticed that it takes about 2 cranks to get my car to start. I tun the key, and that's all I hear is a "Click" I know that is my starter, but could these problems be related?

well first off how much fuel did you have in your car? and second your starter should not affect anything when you are driving.

The car had a full tank of premium gas. I have been feeding it premium since I've had it, so I don't think its the injectors either.

Well I called my mechanic and he said to run some fuel injector cleaner through my fuel system. I did this about 3 months ago, but I guess I will do this again. But if this doesn't work, what else do you think it could be, because I don't want to stall in the middle of the road again and get hit

Has it ever done this before?

I would suspect the IAC valve, or some sort of idle situation. If you came to a quick stop your IAC may have overcompensated.
You could try cleaning it to see if that helps.

Was car warmed up good?

The car wasn't warmed up at all as a matter of fact. I just drove it after sitting for the night. Could this be something because it was cold?

My car will do the same thing if the car isn't warmed up properly..It will either stall or hesitate if I try and drive it when it's really cold. I'm suspecting a fuel problem myself. Most likely a bad fuel pump or fuel pump relay.

I think me and Cobrkiller are having the same problems. I haven't got any codes yet, so I will probably just wait until my car dies, because then I will know exactly what the problem is.
Hopefully it won't be on the wrong side of town

Does anybody know what could be causing this? I put the injector cleaner in, my injectors are fine. I know that this is probably a fuel problem because it just happens when the car is cold, but what is it?

I'm going to replace my fuel pump relay and see what happens. My SES light will come on but only If I get on it a little bit then I let off it will come on sometimes(usually on the highway)..Then the car seems to limp home after that. And it acts like it's hurting for fuel and the temp will start to go up..Most likely a seperate problem but I'm going to try replacing the relay and seeing what happens.

Nope, I don't have pully's. A friend told me that it moght be my fuel regulator. It looks like I will take it to the mechanic again and see what he says.
