Sensor Issue 1984 Caprice 305 quadrajet

I have an 84 caprice with a quadrajet that is throwing a code for an Intake Air Temp Sensor (low temp detected error) which carb engines do not have said sensor, what else could be causing this code ive been trouble shooting the electrical and all the temp sensors are working

by that chart it says its a MAT circuit code referring to the intake manifold but i cannot find any sensors located on the manifold

I don’t think there is a mat/iat.

23. MCS, the MCS is open or grounded, check all wiring and connections, adjust or replace MCS.

If you have a service manual it might give the ohm spec for the solenoid. This way you might illuminate the wiring as a issue. I’m not sure but going into diagnostic mode might command the mc solenoid.

The MC solenoid very rarely fails. The code 23 can be set by reasons other than outright failure.

The codes from the ECM are the same as a 4BBL 305 third gen through 87.
