Re: giving up

Wrecked and not running, potential rebuild in store? Not a lot. Depends where you're located too... That sucks.

Re: giving up

Good news the tire shop that did the fuel pump it is under warranty so it's all good now no harm done I was just worried I would have to pay to fix it so I was preparing for the worst but I'm on back on track to just fix the 1/4

Re: giving up

The quarter is repairable. Replacing a quarterpanel PROPERLY is not an easy task.

Try to find a quarter to replace this:

There's not much choice but to do it the right way.

EDIT: Incidentally, that was done with NO filler. Lots of stud welding, pulling shrinking, filing, and shaping. Even the bumper got a workover without cracking the chrome.

There's really no filler on that vader? Impressive work getting that panel so straight and the lines correct

Re: giving up

turns out its not my fuel pump that went out but possibly wiring to the pump if it is too expensive i'll just either take out all valuable parts like the built 355 and scrap it and see how much money we get from it or my other side says i could just put a mechanical fuel pump on it and be done

Looks Good, bringing back memories Had the same quarter damage.. I gave up a clean '66 Olds F-85 post car years ago before the internet because I couldn't source a non-dented 1/4 and the aftermarket didn't stamp em yet..

Re: giving up

got my car running took it to a shop for a day the shop calls and says they couldn't work on it because the guy who does wiring isn't in today the next day he's there and then they say they don't to electric work so i went up there found my car in a car in a parking spot check down the wiring starting at the fuel pump making my way down to the relay not getting power from there then it hit me the dang switched 12v wire was unplugged i plug it back up and drove off pissed because if i had enough time on monday before work i could have fixed it right there but i was running late so yeah that happened.

Letting my uncle who worked on 80s and 90s wiring back in the day to help re wiring them and undoing that the bad wiring they did when they swapped my engines
