Help me pick parts for a zz350 short block
I am taking my 92 RS out of a 10 year storage and need a new engine, I am buying a new zz350 short block and I would like to use some kind of EFI injection on a single plane manifold and want to make 400/420 HP at 5800/6000 RPM, I am looking for the best flowing heads with the smallest roller cam to achieve this goal, drive train will be the stock WC T-5 and stock 10-bolt with 3.42 gears and a posi unit, I know the T-5 and 10 bolt aren't the best choice but I won't be doing any hard launches or power shifting, any suggestions on a EFI system and other parts? And please don't suggest a LS build, I don't want one.

Re: Help me pick parts for a zz350 short block
I started with 92 rs that had a carb 305 tbi, T5 and 3.08 gears on the rear end. Now I have a zz4 350 package all the way to the heads, decided to put in a speed density stock set up from a 91 TPI kept the original T5 and swap the rear end for a 4th gen 3.42 possi. Its not bad I'm getting 295 rwhp and 400 lb.

We don't know what you have for fuel control now so we have to assume you you want a aftermarket Port Injection to work on top of the original ECM so all your guages continue to work along with your AC. Man there are dozens of those from all over the world. The problem is running 2 computer controllers you will most likely end up with a Check Engine Light on all the time and possibly some accessories won't work.
Well most aftermarket EFI manufactures have a forum on their w/s and I suggest you spend some time on those forums asking for the information you need for a conversion that will work.
I think you will find the details are nearly endless but it has been done more than once.
Good luck.
