Oil pooling up under throttle linkage?
I've had this problem for as long as I've owned the car (since Nov, 2018) and thought rebuilding the carb and replacing the gaskets would help, but it doesn't seem to have.
After driving the car (but not idling) for any period of time, if I pop the hood and check under the throttle on top of the intake manifold, I get a nice little puddle of fresh oil in the area under the throttle linkage, right near cylinder 3's intake runner. I have no idea where this could be coming from as the carb is fresh, the gaskets are new, and everything is tightened down. No vac leaks as far as I can tell. Where would this be coming from? Everything is stock. Where should I begin looking? Thanks!

That's a new one! I know the intake has a specific order in which torquing is required. Am I cool to do this with just the bolt in question or is that going to compromise the seal on the whole intake requiring me to remove and retorque everything?

Re: Oil pooling up under throttle linkage?
It's coming up the intake bolt threads. The center 2 bolts go right into the crankcase.
Take them out one at a time; clean the bolts up good, chase the threads in the head, clean with spray carb cleaner; seal with thread sealer; torque to about 25-30 ft-lbs.

Won't all the small filings from chasing head threads go into the crankcase? Just wondering.

Your right might not be the best of ideas, forcing crud that are in the threads into the crankcase.
A thread chaser might not have much reach to clean many of the threads either.
I would just clean the bolt threads and use liquid Teflon on the threads and retorque.
