Before I start removing items off of this engine I got, I need to make sure that I am removing just smog pump related parts. So I have some pictures, please tell me if it is smog pump related. I already know what the smog pump is on the bracket, I'm planning on gutting it so I don't have to find and buy a pulley. And what size bolts do I need to get to plug the holes in the exhaust manifolds?
The CORRECT size is 5/16" inverted flare. The threads are something like ½"-18 but I can't recall the exact thread specs off the top of my head.
The pipe plugs GD posted are quite close to that thread; close enough, that when liberally globbed up with Teflon tape, they seal just fine. Just don't over-tighten them; only, enough to mooosh the Teflon tape, and call it good.
