1987 5.0l, TPI. I have the upper part of the engine apart to flush the fuel system, since the car has sat for several years with fuel in the system and not ran. I figured while I have the plenum and intake tubes off, I would pull the fuel rail to flush it out along with checking the injectors. I figured that while I am doing this, it would be a good time to test the EGR valve. I found instructions for checking it but I am not sure if it is a positive pressure or negative pressure EGR. Have yet to find any specs on it online to tell me which one it is. One article I found said that there would be a letter N in the part number if it is negative back pressure. The numbers do have a N but not in the part number just in the 71N which I am not sure what it is. Numbers on at are as following and I attached a picture.
