Gutting the air box?
I have read in peoples signatures that they have gutted their air boxes. What do you do when you do that? What do you take out? Sorry if I sound stupid asking this but it really stumped me.
If you have a tpi system, underneath your air filters is a plastic piece the blocks air and other crap from getting in your tpi. You can cut out a hole and set up a homemade ram air system running in from the fog lights, allowing a great increase of air going into your tpi. I noticed a good deal of difference on the free with much better throttle response. Check around for web sites or posts on how to do it, i've seen em but can't remeber where.

Thats what it is. Wow I have a TPI car and that sounds like something I want to do. I will look for the posts that talk about how to do that. All I have done to the air box is cut it out on top and put a K&N in it. Anyone know of where to get the instructions on how to gut the airbox.
