No spark

Just changed cap & rotor along with plug wires on my Camaro with a 98 350 Vortec. Has absolutely no spark after having everything assembled. Nothing seems to be coming from coil at all. Was running absolutely fine before I changed them.

Check the small wires coming from the distributor to the ignition coil, to see if you disturbed any while you were changing the cap & rotor (wires pulled out of connectors, or the connectors unplugged, that sort of thing).

Re: No spark

Make sure you're getting 12V to the coil during cranking.

Can also pull a plug wire off a spark plug and put a loose spark plug in it, then ground the plug body and crank the engine over to verify whether you're getting spark or not.

Re: No spark

I’m not seeing anything unhooked. It acts like it’s just magically lost spark. Everything was working perfect before it was removed but now I’m just stumped. Pickup coil maybe? Or ignition module

that’s it there, has factory 1998 gm coil with the ignition module on it. It’s a 350 out of a 1998 Silverado, just has a 350 tuneport on top of it.

I apologize, don’t know the exact names for it. But if what you just sent was the 411 ecm then yes

sounds like a real cluster F, might find the ecm or pcm identity if then search for appropriate wiring diagrams to diagnose. Efi connection might be able to assist if you have all your information of what components are being used.

oh trust me it is. Previous owner has hacked everything electronically on it. I’ll try and trace and see what I’ll find out and get back.
