B&M shifter went sloppy

I have a B&M megashifter in my IROC. Within the past 3 weeks the cable that moves the gear indicator decided to stick up so thats not working till I lube it. Now the actual shifter itself is getting really sloppy. I have to really slam it to get it to go from drive to park, the other night when it was really cold out the detent lever was sticking and it didnt want to shift at all. When I manually shift it from like 1-2-3-d it is really sloppy. it doesnt click into each gear like it used to. So anyone know what I can do to fix it?? I figure it probably needs some lube, any ideas on what type of lube to use and where to put it??? Also is there anything that wears out on these things that could cause the sloppy shifting??? thanks for the help.

You'd probably have better luck posting in the transmission forum.

So that fixed her right up? Well I was thinking about getting one of those shifters but thats all I hear about them. They are hard to get out of park and stick for the first 2-3 months of use, then some dont have a problem at all with then. So whats with that shifter? look bad @$$ but does it really have this many problems?

i have only had mine in for about 2 weeks now and yes at frist it is a hard to get in and out of park but after that then it is easy as pie and all these probs. everyone is having its mostly cuz of the instalion and how they did it my friends mom has one in her nova that gets to see the track every other sunday and is still street driven and she has had hers in for over two years now and still has not had one prob. with it thats why i got mine and her son also my friend just bought one for his mustang so i think they are really good shifters no doubt about it in my mind. i give it and

WTF was that last post?

anyway, i love this shifter, best mod IMO. I guess u just need to keep on top of the cable lubrication I have never had a problem with mine other then this. The install is kinda a PITA but its not horrible.
