ATTENTION all non a/c third gen owners!

Anyone who has a third gen without air conditioninghad better gaurd thier heater blower case with their life. Ive been trying to find one for my car and GM discontiued this part and deemed it as scrap last week. You can no longer get this part anywhere that i can find! Ive tried year one and classic industries and nothing. I contacted camaro heaven, but weird......no response. Why does restoring a third gen the way you want it such a pain in the royal butt? But anyway, just thought you guys who this affects would like to know.

Heh ...I broke mine into about 30 peices ripping it off a few months back. Maybe I'll go to the local junkyards and pick up every single one I find ...there are a million f-bodies with A/C in the junkyards around here.

no flame intended, but it was the NON A/C cars which are affected by this. You can still get the ones for the cars with a/c. Better not buy alot of them, would be a waste of money.

A non A/C heater box from an S-10 works in our cars. You have to cut a small piece of the flange to get it to fit.

When I do mine, I'll have pics for you all. I need to find out what years of S-10's that are compatible.

Yea I noticed this a few years back when I removed the ac (correctly removed it) from the camaro. 100 3rd gens in the junk yards and ONLY ONE without ac.

Zepher,
I did notice the late 80 early 90's S10-15's have similar climate boxes but then how many S10-15's came without ac? You might want to check 88-93.

Non-A/C cars are a lot more common in Canada.
