who would win, my 1971 AMC Matador 360 285 HP vs. 1983 Z28 305 5 speed?

dont be all for the camaro just cause this is a 3rd gen. site, be honest.

Ive heard my car stock would run high 14's but i have a f**ked up carb.

i would say the z, just b/c you said that your carb was f-(ked up and your car is a lot heavier (i think)
plus the z has a 5spd and prolly like a 3.08 rear, isn't your car a 3 spd auto w/ like a 2.43 or something-im prolly wrong though.

the z28, sounds like an l69 motor and those supposedly ran high 14's when new
sounds like a pretty close race though

The amc would actually have 228hp using net ratings not gross. That is 80% of 285.
As far as who would win?.......Thats why there's a race....

wtf?! 350?.. where did that come from?
i hate ppl who always go "if it had a 350" or "fck the 305, drop in a 350"..
like, get a life.. 305's do exist and are in most camaro's and firebirds of the 80's..
deal with it.. get over it..
not everybody races at the tracks EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND. a 350 isn't a ***.
if that's your answer, you shouldn't even f*cking say anything..
a 83 305 5peed Z28 vrs. a 71 AMC mantidor 360...
now, the mantidore, being dyno'ed with all acc. off and strait headers, at the flywheel.......
i'd still give it to the mantidor unless it's gearing is seriouslly pathetic (like 3.0x and under) and it's out of tune..
