what year eclipse it? those turbo motors are easy to mod, and even in stock form he should take you...figure in the engine you have and the added weight of the stereo, no reason why he shouldn't win..

Are the eclipses the same as the eagle talons?I destroyed an older turbo talon with my old iroc and it was an 86 305 tpi with only a slp y-pipe and no cat for mods.

if it was a turbo, it had to be pretty quick. a lightly modded one ran a 14.0 against my Vettes 13.7. stock they do high 14s - low 15s. with the car you have, it sounds just like the race i had with a non-turboed one in my LG4 Camaro

I could believe mid15s for it at best. The car I HAD could not have been in the 14s I doubt. But it did run good for a 305tpi

guy up here in the local SOLO2 lub has a '92 running 12.1's with only external mods, stock internals and turbo. Watch out, these things are ALL business when kept in good shape.

The 90-94 DSM turbos were identical. The AWD models have 5 more hp than the FWD models due to a minor difference in the routing of the exhaust over the rear suspension...so it's 190 or 195 hp depending with 203 ft lbs of torque for both. I've ridden in stock DSMs that felt substantially LESS powerful than this, however, because the owner didn't subsribe to a regimen of simple basic maintenence.

A stock 1st gen turbo DSM should run anywhere from a high 14 to a 17+ in the 1/4 depending on who's driving and who took care of it. If it's NOT stock, all bets are off. DSMs are like a box of chocolates...you know the rest.

On my third run down the track on wednesday in the lincoln i got dusted by a 98 GSX with minimal mods..He ran a 13.1@106 to my 15.8@91 however I did cut a .513 r/t to his .993 r/t
