I really hate cocky trans am owners

Now I know not more than a week ago I was making a post about if I should get a T/A or keep my car. Man am I glad i'm sticking w/ the ol beast b/c I do NOT want to end up like these two ****** I ran into today. Its gorgeous over here today so I put gas in the car, washed her all up and just went cruising hoping to find something to do. Driving along and spot a silver T/A, about a 93 or 94. I pull up next to him and just for the hell of hit floored it and left him behind me. It felt quite good so I was all smiles then eventually the schmuck pulls up next to me and he and his buddy look over at me so I slow down and he yells out "Hey! What does he RS stand for? Really Slow??! hahahahahahaha" and drives away. Now I know i was asking for him to kick my *** on the street, but there was no need for the nasty comment, is hurt "her" feelings. I mean even the mustangs were giving me the nod today, so what made this guy so special?? Him and his wussy 275hp can eat it!! ARRGG!! Just wait till I get my engine done at the end of this summer!! I'll show them all!!! Sorry...lock this post if you need to, just wanted to vent.

You know, we've all had that happen to us one time or another. And it will happen again and again until you get your car to the point where it can't be beat by those faster stock production cars. If you get beat by a newer one after you have yours built up, then both you and the other guy will appreciate one another. He'll appreciate you for building the heck out of your car and making it into a "statement", if you will.... and you'll appreciate him because he is a fellow gear-head who took the time to beef-up his alreadsy fast ride, instead of being like these other whips who just go out and "BUY" a car that's already somewhat fast from the factory and then thinks "they're all that"!!

Right now, all you can do is just stay away from showing off what you have now until you can back-it-up. After you get your machine pushing 300+ hp's, THEN go look for that moron in the T/A and show him!!! And then, slow do so that he can catch up to you and yell out the window to him and say, "No...RS doesn't stand for Really Slow....it stand for Really Stout!! What's does T/A stand for? Taken Again?"

Just my $.02

Later,
Mike

Haha, yeah.
There's a joke about Corvette drivers that comes to mind.

Q: "What's the difference between a Corvette and a cactus?"

Ans: "The cactus has the ****** on the outside."

Speaking of winning gracefully, Mike, you get to learn by example after we race when my car is done.
I'll show you how to be polite after I've won!
J/k!

Yeah, I understand what someone said, don't show off until you can back it up. But still I wouldn't bash on a person that owns a Camaro/Firebird, any other car perhaps.

Mark, I agree with you 100%. But you know, it's the punks who get a car that Mommy & Daddy bought them and they have no clue about what owning a F-Car is all about.

But hey, to each his own.

What do you expect anyone with a real performance car to think of a stock/near stock RS? Sad fact is it's about the same for most all thirdgens... No respect at all because most really are slower than hell.

Just build your car up already and spank people like that. Then it will be all the sweeter that you beat them...

Not all TA owners are like that. Some just like to rip your heart out and stomp on it by blowing your doors off, if you drive a ***** or a Ford. But some of these 4th gen guys just don't get it.
