How fast is a Prelude?

How fast is a 97-98 prelude? It is stock and has the V-tec
I am planning on racing him in the 1/4 for a couple hundred.

I have 82 Z 350, edelbrock performer intake and 750 carb, comp cams XE268 cam, hedman hedders/ y pipe, no cat, 3" mandrel bent exhaust, posi with 3.42's, Turbo 350 with shift kit and 2500 stall. How fast am I compared to him.

The newer ones aren't as fast as the original V-Tech's.
If he's stock or really close to stock he will be in the 14.9-15.6 range. Most of the dead stock ones around here run within that range.

Is his auto or manual? That matters a bunch too.

Let's see, I think you're at least high 13s, I don't see him beating you.

I'd have to agree that you'd whip him. The only stock imports that challenge us are any of the forced induction cars, and even some of them are slower.

or the 60,000 plus ones . for that much we could have our cars in the 7-9sec range

Also, very rarely does a stock one break inot the 14's. It takes one heck of a driver to launch it(manual) and they are usuallt good for low 15'sto mid. YOU ARE GOING TO WIN!!! tell him you'll keep it in first gear lol:lala:
