this is stupid but how fast are the new...
i honestly dont think they are that fast, my teacher has a new one w/ 5 speed and it doesn't impress me. They weigh alot for their size. If you have a V8 third gen, you shouldn't have a prob whiping it
ok i know a nnew v6 camaro is only a little faster than me and i was pretty sure those v6camaros are fater than the v6 mustangs. Hes an auto. I am virtually certain im faster but i was wondering how much?
ok, according to ford they have 193 hp, thats about what i got. Ive got to have him beat on torgue though, right. And theyre heavy I hear. And its a v6 version so suspension and all that other good **** isnt meant for perfomance really to. Im stock besides the exhast so im not that great but i should have him beat. Am i talking to myself? can i get some confirmation?

I rode in a V-6 Mustang, a 98, and was not impressed. The car had very little low end, and that motor made no power until it was spun above 4000 rpm. I remember him trying to burnout with me in the car, did a brakestand for 3 or 4 seconds, floored it and spun for about 5 feet with an open rear. My 305 couldve beat it easy, and the 350, forget about it. The mustang was an auto. And my 305 was an LG4 w/catback and open element filetr.

When me and my buddy went to milan a couple weeks ago for test and tune his fiance brought her 2001 and decided to drag it for kicks. her time was 16.3 then he took it and got a 16.2 and another of my friends tried it for 16.2. So id say on a great day for racing maybe a 16 flat.
In complete stock form the AUTO cars run low 16's. With the 5 speed they are mid 15 second cars.
I know someone who has a good sized dry shot (well hidden) on his auto V6 stang. Lets just say he makes good money on the street. I have seen him beat high 13 second cars.
They (like newer V6 fbodies) are good matches for most 305 powered thirdgens on the street. You 305 guys, make sure you are in good tune before you step to the plate. You dont want to get embarased by a V6 now do ya?

The 0-60 on the 3800 5 speed F bodies and '99-up 3.8 Mustangs is a hair quicker than cars such as my 305 TPI/auto Formula. I've driven a slew of new 3800/5 speed cars (I sell Olds and Pontiacs), and they are deceivingly quick...either is a solid match.
On a side note, while the 3800 doesn't FEEL fast, it sure as hell is...and it can bark the tires quite easily on a 1-2 and 2-3 shift. They are soooo smooth, they gain speed before you know it...just like a good ol' TPI
