Nice car! how big of a nitrous shot are you running?

 

My Daily driver is a '02 Durango with the 5.2L V8. I raced my friend in his '88 Camaro 305 with it and took him off the line and held my own til about 60MPH when he finally started to reel me in. Not a fast truck but all that torque really helps it off the line. I mess around with rice burners all the time in it and just take them off the line. Most people i race just sit there spinning and that's where i get a big lead and they play catch-up. ANy decent car should be able to make it up easy, but we all know about the tons of 17 sec hondas and misc running around.

Not trying to say it's fast. That's what the Mustang is for, but just funny how you labeled it a slouch when it really does move for a big truck.

 

All I know is my GF's Blazer is freakin slow.

those 5.2L durangos arent that bad, my friend used to have one and we beat quite a few hondas in it, we also beat a 5.0 mustang in his 96 Ford Taraus , pretty funny huh

 

No ,but I get alot of those morons with late model pick-ups that have installed a fiberglass ram-air hood, dual exhaust,and a bunch of NASCAR and SKI-DOO stickers and they think all of the sudden they've got a quick machine on their hands

Gotta watch those SUV's some are fast. A Tahoe with a 350, I think it was a 98 or newer, had those newer headlights, was at the track and was spraying. It ran an 8.3 in the 1/8 Even the Mustang guys gave him some respect after that!!

 

There's some of those guys around here too. My uncle's friend has a blue GMC with dual exhaust and hood and he's got the polaris sticker that covers the whole rear window.

 

 

50hp???? That doesn't do anything for you. You can at least run a 100hp shot with no problems. My brother runs a 150 shot on his 91 Z28 with 160,000 miles. A V8 can take a 150 shot all day easily.

4 cyl.---50hp shot
6cyl.----75hp shot
8cyl.----100-150hp shot

I lost to a brand new jeep cherokee.....we raced and he got me in the 1/4 mile but when we hit around 100 i hit overdrive and blew him away..........


i guess those motors in those are pretty good cuz it even kept up with my friends 94Z28 M6 for a little while

 

AIGHT #1 I hope your not talking to me ,cause I didn't say trucks were fast ,just that there's alot of nimrods that THINK their trucks are fast AIGHT,this point is excluding lightings and such AIGHT, and I don't recall anybody else saying trucks are fast either AIGHT.

Sorry about that ,I thought you were saying that I thought all the A-holes that try to race me in their pick ups are fast.
After I thought about it I think your right about him having a Z24 confussed for an import. Again Im sorry about that.
