Need help bad

Hey guys I passed a cop that was a stationary radar today, and I turned the corner and went to my friends house, a few moments later after I had already gotten out of the car and was walking over to talk to him the cop pulls around the corner but it was not even the same corner I went around, he came from the opposite direction, he stopped and asked me if that was my car and what I was doing, I told him it was and that I was on my way to talk to my friend, he started being a smarta$$ and a *****, and asked to see my license and proof of insurance, so I showed him and he proceeded to write me a speeding ticket for doing 4 miles over the speed limit!!!! A ticket for proof of insurance, he said he thought it looked fake And a seat belt ticket, but I wasnt even in my car when he came up!!!! So how the he!! does he know I wasnt wearing my seatbelt?? And he never turned on his lights or anything. He says he gave me a ticket because he thought I was being a smarta$$ isnt there like proper procedure or something?? I know the insurance one will be dropped, and most likely the seatbelt, but what about the speeding ticket? do you guys think it will stick? I hate cops that are dicks.

Fight it you will probably win. If he isn't the same cop that radared you then it can easily be fought. Also the proof of insurance and seatbelt can be easily fought since you weren't even in a running vehicle let alone on the road when he found you. The thingis the guy who wrote the ticket is the only one that will be showing up in court and since he can't say honestly that he clocked you at the 4 over then the charges should be dropped. Talk to a lawyer, but from what friends have done and a few other sources this one should be pretty easy to get dropped.

Take it to court. 4 mph will get thrown out of court in most jurisdictions.

Almost all tickets taken to court are tried by law students and about 50% get thrown out. I'd say even the lowest guy in his class could get a 4 over not in the vehic thrown out of court.

I HAVE TALKED TO SEVERAL COPS WHO TOLD HE THAT THERE GUNS HAVE A +OR- OF LIKE 5 MPH AND THATS WHY 99% OF COPS WONT PULL YOU OVER UNLESS YOU GOING 10 OVER.. B/C OF THAT FACT.. DEFINTLY FIGHT IT. GO TO THE POLICE DEPT AND REQUEST RECORDS OF THE GHUNS CALIBRATION AND ITS PLUS OR I RATINGS.. AS FAR AS THE INSURANCE THING, TAKE THE TRICKET AND YOUR INSURANCE CARD TO YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY AND HAVE THEM TYPE OUT A LETTER AND IT WILL BE DROPPED..

I would fight it. I think you will win this one because the cop made errors.

Fight it. Its just another case of cops stereotyping anyone in a sporty car. They're mainly just a bunch of ****** with too much time on their hands.

i learned in drivers ed that radar guns are only accurate within 7 mph. it could read 72 and you could be going 65. unless you were clocked at more than 7 over they can't do anything about it.

Given the facts above and the fact that my speed-o-meter is off, what is the probibility that they will either throw it out or it will be dropped to defective equipment. I need to know wether or not to just have a lawyer take care of it, because I dont need the points on my driving record Thanks for all the help
And also if the cop doesnt show up in court then its dropped anyway right?
