me vs stang vs mr2 vs chevelle

A couple potential candidates...
Me: mostly stock 88 GTA, 350 auto with intake and muffler

Stang: 95 GT 5.0 auto (hopefull)

MR2: 92-94? stock Turbocharged, a tad lighter then stock, manual (doubtfull)

Chevelle: Not really sure of year, has SS badges but Im sure its not a 454. Loud as H3LL. Auto

the mr2's are pretty quick, my dad got a 2002 mr2 spyder a couple month's ago and it seems pretty quick, specs say 138hp but it went from 80 to 135 pretty quick for me on the freeway when he let me take it, also handles like its on rails, i bet they'd be pretty quick with turbo...no clue about the race tho, id like to see the chevelle win

Its gonna come down to the Stang and the MR2. The chevelle might be a contender if it has any work done to it (small or big block) its heavy though. Iraced an MR2 that ran 14.2 at 94MPH. good luck!!!

If the 95 GT is stock than you will beat him. The 94+ were the years I lost intrest in the Mustangs. I think those have 215 hp, and 285 torque. The MR2 will probally be more of a challenge, 200 hp and torque, in a 2800 lbs. RWD car is pretty sweet. If the MR2 is stock than it would be a good race if both of you were good drivers. I know nothing about the Chevelles, but don't be surprised if it has a few mods

An MR2 turbo will kill a new mustang GT pretty easily, and the 5.slows are a cakewalk stock for stock.

I have no idea about the Chevelle, but the MR2 should beat the GTA as well without a prob.

Dont know much about the other two, but watch out for the chevelle with the big block. My fathers 454 camaro will RAPE my car badly, and his is quite mild. Im probably around as fast as you, and Id be scared of the chevelle, 396 or 454.

I would think you should win, but the Chevelle would be the true contender here! The Chevelle may or may not be fast! I have seen 307s going 19s, and 454s going 11s, and faster, so it is hard to say!

i agree with 5.0mustang on this..

Me: mostly stock 88 GTA, 350 auto with intake and muffler

you run most likely run mid 14s

Stang: 95 GT 5.0 auto (hopefull)

mid to high 15s

MR2: 92-94? stock Turbocharged, a tad lighter then stock, manual (doubtfull)

my guess they run migh to high 15s

Chevelle: Not really sure of year, has SS badges but Im sure its not a 454. Loud as H3LL. Auto

hard to guess, but being loud and having ss badges it could be one or a little less of an engine.. who knows

The Chevelle is a big contender if it has even small amounts of work done to it, I saw a video of a 454 that was drag racing with a 5.0 stang and it went on its back tires the whole way down the track, left the stang at the starting line...it was crazy I respect the other cars but even a smaller engine in a Chevelle will still have the potential to dominate.

My money is on the chevelle. Just doing some guessing from what you have told us, you said the chevelle was loud as hel. That tells me at least he has one or two mods or an open exhaust. If it is a big block I think he will surprise everyone. One thing is for certain he isn't gonna have 2.73 gears or something like that in it!
