Integra LS.
Just curious how fast they are and if I can beat the kid? I'm not sure how good/bad a driver he is, it's a stick I know that, completely stock. One of his buddies was tryin to get him to race me but he said "No way, he's got a V8, i'd lose, but i'll race his truck" (I have a 98 Dakota Sport V6 5spd, go figure). Anyways, I kinda got a little panicky, b/c I know nothing about Integra's and since I am pretty much stock and have a 305 TPI, I wasn't sure if i'd beat him. Any thoughts or suggestions in case he changes his mind.
My girl had a 2001 Integra, automatic, lined them up with my stock 92 RS 305 TBI Auto with 2.73's, and...she held up for 35-50MPH, after that, ownage, but its good to go about 120+...whatever the governer is set to...
id say...ud win...

Your sure, I mean i'm not scared to race anybody if they call me out, but I hate losing. Especially to rice and he's ricing it out. Has some little group him and another kid started called "Team Kymira" have gay little windshield banners on their cars. I'm not gonna make a big deal out of it, unless he wants to race. Which as of now, he doesn't want to. Anybody know 1/4 mile times for them?

nah, you got him
your car should run mid-low 15's
his car, if its a stick will run about a 16.0-16.5
for it even to be close, he'd have to have quite a few mods

If its a LS integra you should have no problem beating him. I've seen them run 17's at the track with a few mods. But just watch out for those damn GSR's, they're pretty quick. I don't like honda one bit, but 170 hp out of a 1.8L is pretty impressive, even if it is at like 7,000 rpm's.

What year is the Integra? I used to own a '91 Prelude Si (I was 17, had just wrecked a firebird...parents wouldn't give me MY insurance money unless the car was front wheel drive - long story), with a 2.1L DOHC. It had 140HP and 135 ft# of torque.
That may not sound like much, but its only about a quarter of a second slower than my 86 IROC-Z (305 QJ), because the thing only weighed 2500 lbs!! I talked to a guy who owned one online, and he ran 15.7 with an AEM cold air intake, headers (I forget the manufacturer), and a Greddy cat-back exhaust.
My IROC: 16.37
My old Si: 16.64
Barely a half of a second.
Both of my cars are were/are equipped with AT (due to a leg injury, another long story). So, if he has a stick and is redlining (keep in mind there is more HP up there for ricers), expect mid-low 16s.

Oh yeah, as for the Prelude, with the body style change in '92 the car's weight went up to 3,000 lbs. I'm pretty sure the Integra's body style change was 93 or 94 though, so just keep the weight issue in mind.
I love F-bodies with all of my heart, but driving that little thing was kinda fun. Could squeeze where my Z could never fit!

i have to say, my brother and his friends are pretty cool guys for driving imports, we kid around and such and when they do things to their cars its tastful, no stickers, body kits except for my brothers friend jim, but atleast it looks nice, but my brother jsut put in a GSR in his hatchback, i helped him drop it last night, i have to admit it, its pretty quick, but his is still owned by my camaro,
even jim who has a right hand drive civic, fully tuned with nitrous i beat,
but the only one i will loose to is JC, integra, he has a fully tuned LS V-tec, t4 turbo and is spraying, he is thinking like 11's, but i dont think that fast, if it is...
thats one nice car i would mind DRIVING, not owning though, got to stick with american muscle.
