me vs. 5.0 part II

coming back from the club last night around 1AM crusing the interstate and around 70mph i roll up to this blue 5.0 with some huge meats on it, ratty paint, and a long haired ******* looking dude behind the wheel.
well i pull up next to him, he looks over and we both punched it at about the same time, i had my car in D, (not OD) and he walked all over me!!!!! , had me buy about 3 cars buy 90-95mph.
after he let off, i pulled up next to him and gave him the thumbs up.
we where crusing not really paying attention to the other when suddenly all traffic on the hwy stoped because of an accident. he happened to pull in behind me when we stoped, i got out of my car and walked up to him and go "damm I smoked one of these last week, what do you do got?" he goes "just a 302..." gets out of the car pops the hood and what do i see??? a big hooded snake on his intake and a supercharger!!!!!:hail: :hail:
he goes "told you just a 302...." i looked at him and started laughing, so did he. at that time traffic started moving....

i just met a guy that lives down the strret from me and he has a 94 gt...the last year of the 5.0 HO and hes a really cool guy...he used to have a 91 gta but he wrecked it...he wanted to get another one but couldnt find another one he liked so he settled on the mustang (his words exactly)....he said the only thing his stang has on the gta was the sound...anyway hes got parts for my car so thats why were friends...after ive met him ive changed my opinion on mustangs and there owners...well most of them anyway....the guys i usally run into are cocky @ssrods...but this guy changed my outlook...he told me the same thing i think...."its us against them" meaing the ricers...but ill still take a crap load of pleasure in beating the stangs lol

biker....like mark said aint no shame in losing against a blown 302...they run real good n/a..and its good the guy was cool about it instead of alot of stang guys out there who are d!cks...nic and the other stang guys here are cool in my book

1995 was the last year, get it right dumb a$$ (in my best cocky a$$rod voice)!!!

I have never had any bad feelings to someone with an Fbody, and as a matter of fact I have friends with imports! I won't base a person on a car, but on that persons attitude, and so far most Fbody guys I have met have had great attitudes toward me and my car! I think all the American cars should stick together, afterall the only true difference between us, is the company!!!

Very true..one of my very good friend's drives a '02 WRX and it's a beauty. He loves the import scene it's not my thing but he's no *****. He knows his cars capabilities and what it can do. And i also have other friend's with mustangs. I actually have very few friends with f-body's. I get the cold shoulder alot from other 4th gen owners for some reason. 3rd gen guys in my area are usually gawking and don't even bother to give me a thumbs up back when i give them one..lol

Hey I had 275s on my car and didn't have much to back it up!!! Lots of stock stangs run around with bigs and littles around here, and others do the same but have strokers and blowers! It is hard to pick a fight on the street near me!

Hey, will you still be able to run pump gas on the 11:1 combo?

From the research I've done, it seems that 11:1 is the limit on pump gas with aluminum heads. I'll have free access to a dyno starting in January, so I'll be doing extensive dyno tuning with the tweecer and will make sure everything is safe. I'm having a little trouble finding a piston to yield 11:1 with the TW heads so far I may have to settle for a 10.7:1 piston from Probe.

Great, do the research for me, bud, and tell me how to work the damned thing, cause my TWEECER is still sitting in its box.

$380 well spent IMO. Sign up for the Yahoo group, it's the best resource I've found so far.

I didn't get the RT, I have the old-skool serial cable one. I don't see what difference that'll make for tuning, though. Just not as easy to get feedback.
