I took a look at some law charts I have downloaded on my computer, and it looks like you will be paying around $270 or so - what was the exact vehicle code that he cited you with? i would then be able to tell you exactly what its going to be...

good luck!

almost double the limit, you might loose the license if the judge is not in a good mood.....
it's at least a reckless driving
that sucks, I feel for you

not necessarily - if he didn't cite him for reckless driving, then he won't/shouldn't get busted for it. Reckless driving has its own vehicle code, and is a seperate (read: more expensive) violation. However, driving 30 over the speed limit allows the officer to cite you for reckless driving, doesn't mean he has to.

Although sliding around a U-turn with massive smoke and squeeling CAN get you busted you jsut have to know how to deal with cops

Thats why I have a Radar Detector!! I think 15mph over the speed limit is a felony for reckless driving. I never got a ticket, but my dad got a ticket in my car before, 90 in a 70, lol.

well i got pulled over for 67mph in a 45mph, got out of it, the cop was a cool guy, he said that i scared the crap out of him when i cam around a corner, completly dry out, daytime.

i had my girl in the car and she wanted to see how my engine was running, i had a green light and threw it sideways in my car, ended up comming around the corner and being right behind the cop. so he pulls over and i correct my car and keep going, i accelerate to about 67mph i guess and then he comes flying up on my ***. i told him the reason why i did it and he told me to pop my hood.

so i do like im told, i pop it, have to explaine every little detail i have dont to my car (oh like thats hard for me to do ) and then he had me promis to race him at the next highschool drags and i could get off the ticket. ended up he has a 89 camaro Z28 with a 383.

I don't really want to call on this last one, but that is so far different from every one of my experiences in my entire life with cops that it is very difficult to believe. I don't think Ive ever been pulled over for anything, and not gotten a ticket. Maybe its my karma or something. I got a speeding ticket last summer in the middel of nowhere on I-10 in west texas (if you know west texas, its like the moon out there) for doing 85 in a 75 with cruise control on coming back from California in my Crown Victoria with my two kids in the car!!!!!!!!!!. Cop was a real d***head.

Anyway if its true, you are the luckiest guy in the world. I keep racing with my arrestme red 91 Formula confined to the dragstrip just for this reason

it may seem like BS, but the cops around here for the most part are car guys and the rest are dicks, the only other time i got pulled over was for a bunch of BS, saying i didnt have a front lisence plate, when it was on the bumper, i wasnt wearing my seatbelt which i was just the lap part, and for doing 60 in a 45, i was doing 50. even the radar said 50, i was wearing a seatbent and i had a friend with me to witness this all, i took him to court with me and i got out of the 86 dollar ticket.

Well, like I said, you are a lucky guy I guess. Some people seem to be lucky with cops, I am not one of them. Im not beligerent or anything, they just don't seem to have any problem giving me the freaking ticket everytime. Fortunately I have not gotten more than one per year for the last bunch of years ,so I keep going to defense driver course and getting them dismissed.
be cool

Why were you driving when you were 15 ...new or old rules in the states??? You use to have to be 16 to get your full license here in Ontario Canada...Now you have to be 18 before you are on your own.....
