Well my buddy in a 96+ 4.6 Convertible GT Mustang asked when we are gonna have a chance to run em....ad I said whenever I get my new front tire.....mine blew out today....and when I get the Y pipe rewelded and cat gutted, along with some other tune up goodies...he has an X Pipe, Flowmaster Exhaust, Steeda Shifter, and CAI..... have all the mods in my SIG...when I will be running...the A.I.R. will have been removed, a tune up done to it, new motor oil and tranny oil w/ synthetic oils....and my CAI.....who do you all think will win....he ran against my V8 S10 Blazer and got me out of the whole...needless to say we only ran a block long...I think I can take him...what do you all think?....AARON

96 was the first year 4.6. All of the early 4.6 stangs are dogs. Even with those mods he has, you should destroy him.

 

you got it bro. the 96 4.6 is a dog like that one dude said. irun bumper to bumper with them in my modded single cam civic. when i hit the n2o i smoke them. thats the 96 gt models mind you not the new cobras etc.

 

That GT would probably be in the mid to high 14s. You should have him pretty easy.

 

I'd put the GT at a high 14. I know a guy with a SN95 5.0 'vert with similar mods and he runs 15 flat, the guy can't drive though. I think you should win.

my friend has a 95 mustang gt convertable auto and his lowest time was a 15.5 so a 96 cant be that much quicker stock so u should take him

 

The '96 is pretty slow. My friends dad's 2000 4 door Maxima beat one. Go kill another Stang.

he ran 13.96 where i live...last summer right when i got my car i went to the same place and i ran 14.94. i got more mods to come but when his girlfriend took hers out at the time she ran 15.6
with mods. you should kick his ***!

all i have is hedders, y pipe, flowmaster mufflers, a cam, and a aluminum drive shaft! i ran 14.94 with my mods 305 5 spd.

actually if its a 99-2003 u will have a problem. low 14's are good times. make sure u get a good launch or u might lose this one. my friends 2001 ran a 14.3 and his first time at the track. 4.6 is just a number. good luck
