350 camaro vs. V6 mustang

I have an 82 firebird with a 350 pushing around 250 hp. My neighbor has a 2000 mustang with the 190hp 3.8 V6. Hes go a 5 speed and Im using a 700r4. Any Idea with who would win? Oh yeah he has stock tires, Im using fatter 235 tires.

You will have no problem at all. I have a friend who has a 2002 v6 mustang and he would always brag about how fast his mustang was. We lined up and he kept up until about 20 because I had 3.27 and need lower gears. But the time I reached 70 he was about two car lengths back, and moving farther away. You will kill him.

Heh I hope you don't think 235's are wide tires

He is toast, you might even wanna pull a wire off a spark plug and give the guy a fair chance if you are in a good mood!

heh thanks, His car is kinda quick, but I thought Id beat him, just wanted some opinions. Anyhoo, tire companies seem to think 235s are pretty wide (they charge enough for em) And they do lend to traction over the 205s, even if they arent fatty slicks. thanks!!
