Me vs GSR

There is a guy with a red GSR who wants to race me for money. I am not sure what it is with import guys around here and wanting to race for money, but I don't care I am just curious if I would win. I guess he has a ported and polished head and a 80-100 shot of nitrous on his GSR.

My car is as follows:
350HO crate motor (330 hp 380 ft lbs torque)
Edelbrock Performer intake and performer 600 carb (bleh)
MSD pro billet distributor, MSD 6A ignition, MSD coil, accel wires
Hedman ellite ceramic coated headers, true dual exhaust with dual bullets and an X pipe
Turbo 350, Hughes Pro Street 3000 Stall, Richmond Street 3.73's and a SLP Zexel torsion posi

My car weighs 3050 pounds without driver, 3250 with driver and gets awesome traction. I had a chance to run at the track last saturday but my stock fuel pump gave out on me during my first pass. I ran a 14.1 @ 102.52mph on a 2.5 60ft with a major bog off the line. I now have a holley street mechanical pump and it is working awesome. What do you guys think, should I race him?
Thanks

I think you will win due to the fact that the GSR will self destruct with that big of a shot! Those engines cant handle much more than a 75 shot and that's pushin it.

ya you got that man...that thing will blow up....and if you get him riled up enough and he misses a shift it will make a nice pretty spark show for your entertainment.

those people claim "they wanna race for money" because it makes them sound like: they have cash, their car IS fast (its not), and they think its cool cause they saw it on tv or a movie.

show up with 500 bucks, and watch the kid back down, thats what always happens.

a kid did that to me last summer, he's like you wanna go, 500 bucks (it was a civic lol) so i pull out the cash, and hes like forget it lol.

i'd find out more about the car if i were you. gsr's are mid/low 15 cars stock.

if he really has a 100 shot, he might not be telling you everything that's been done.

but, if he's an idiot, kick some *** for us

a gsr with CAI, header, and exhaust can run a mid/high 14 (14.5 - 14.9) if driven correctly.

i'm just saying, if he's got that and supposedly a 100 shot, you might wanna be careful

2 things...i know a kid with an ls integra that stole a wing off a real type R at the dealership...the lengths the ricers will go, and about the nitrous, according to the guys at turboford.com(mustang svo, thunderbird turbocoupe) my 2.3L NA mustang engine is virtually indestructable, some guys tested how much nitrous it would take, the engine didnt blow till they put in a 250 shot...completely stock. thats pretty nuts

Yeah, they did a test in some magazine, i cant remember what it was, but they took a junkyard 350 from the 70's and tried to see how much juice it would take. It did pretty well and it made over 600 hp until it blew up with a 450 shot i think it was, lol.

My buddies GSR runs mid 15's with just exhaust. There are a couple of guys in my class that are going to run a 50 or 75 shot in their GSR at drag night this sunday, I'm thinking they might run around a high to mid 9 (1/8 mile track).

for a min. i thought you guys were talking about a GST.. im like... high/mid 15's!?!?! gsr has to have under 200hp.. and then hes gunna throw in a 100 shot... wow... its good that he ported the head. now there wont be as much steal to explode as when the heads were stock... if there anything like there replacment, you should have him beat... but check the mods on that guy... 100 shot is a lot for a 4 banger... gotta be a reason...
