C5 Vette Gets waxed!!
Well no big deal fellas but thought id post..Was on the way to work in the 91 and saw a C5 in the mirror coming up hard..We get to a stop light..he gets beside me a revs..(Six speed car)..Light turns green..We were off..i stay in a lil more than half throotle to get off the line ok w/o to much spinning ,stay beside him..then i say enough and floor it.lol..haha needless to say i let off after about 6 car lengths..Dont think he knew he was beside a 11 sec car..haha guess he does now ??Might make him think a little about 3rd gens now..

alright!! Good kill!
My 2 experiences with C5 owners (one was a Z06) who've realized that their 'vettes weren't all that has not been pleasant. Worst part is that both drivers were probably over 40!
Just curious, but what else have you done to your car? Do drag radials really make a difference on the track? (I don't know much about drag racing. Only done it once with balding BFG Radial T/As)

drag radials are a farce for the average car with decent power but they work awsome on C5 vettes due to the high weight on the rears.

drag radials make a HUGE difference IF you spin at the track. if your not spinning, then theyre not for you. i dropped my 60fts by a tenth (1.94 - 1.85) due to my BFGoodrich drag radials. to get them to work properly you have to do a 7 - 10 sec burnout to get them nice and sticky.
BTW- nice kill on the C5! i bet he was just like when you started putting lengths on him

Thanks guys..Yea i like BFG Drag Radials too!! they are all i run on my car...1.54 60ft at the dragstrip has been the best on them...I switched to 4.10 gears now and they arent doing as well as they used to..But they are still a awesome street/drag tire in my book..
