Hey my friend just got a knew Dakota R/T today and I road in it with him and that thing is pretty Quick. We have a friend with a 92 5.0 that runs low 14's that he wants to run and I wanted to know if he has a chance , thanks .

 

does the Dakota have a 318 or a 360? I think the Dakota is somewhere in the low 15's... AARON

check that out...the guy did major work, including heads, injector, throttle body and slicks and was pulling 13.9's....when it was stock he was going 15.5's or 15.4's....so your buddy has nothing to worry about...and hey lets hear about your thirdgen running that Dakota... - AARON

 

Yeah I wanted to run him in my camaro but I ran him a while back when he had a dodge daytona turbo and I spanked him so now he thinks I am some kind of superman , I am only running 14's ,hes one of those guys that knows how to fix things , but doesnt know sqaut about 1/4 mile times , he thinks 14's are slow just because it sounds slow campared to 10's yet his daytona was running 15's and his truck is running 15's also and he thinks they are fast. But hes still one of my best friends so I stick with him.Thanks for the info.

 

yeah that mustang will hurt the r/t badly.

 

the only time i ever went to the track i ran a 15.2 with a 2.4 60 footer, i know i sucked when i first got the car. anyways i raced my buddies stock r/t with the 360. i totally wasted him, think it was like 4 or 5 cars. maybe he cant drive or maybe i just hooked alot better that day, i dunno!

That is a relief.There is a guy in my town with a dakota r/t 5.9.He thinks he is super fast.I was kind of leary of racing him.I thought they had to be alteast mid 14's.That is awesome.
