IROC vs mid 90's saturn???
Ok my friend says that he could beat me in his saturn and well I'm kind of a little skeptic so I thought I'd ask for your opinions.
IROC-Z:
- currently 305carbed but soon to have TPI and LT1 cam
- out of the factory 170HP/250TQ (with carb)...don't have an idea of numbers after TPI/cam swap
- 700R4
- 3.27 gears
- mods: SFC, open element on carb, 6* base timing
Saturn "Sport Edition":
- 4 cylinder
out of the factory 120hp/tq
- 5-speed
- no mods
that's all the info I have on the saturn. Don't know the model just know that it is shaped kinda like a tear drop with a spoiler
Thanks,
Mark

My buddy Mike's Saturn 5-speed kicked my *** pretty good, but I also have a 6 banger.
You would win, hands down. If not, time to add some more mods!!

Ok, that's what I figured. He just seems a little confident about winning but then again if you knew him you would kinda say.....yeah sure......

The later 90's model saturns are quick. I dunno about earlier. I had a 98 as a rental car, and that car hauled ***. It was a 5-speed and would easily chirp the tires from 2nd - 3rd...and it had 120,000 miles on it. I think you could take him in the long run, but watch out off the line.

Well, if you are going to be doing a TPI swap on an LG4 and doing a few other mods, than you should have no problems with a Saturn.
The only fast Saturn I have ever encountered was a s/c Saturn that my freind raced in his TGP, and he was ahead of the Saturn past 80.
