OK new dude started at my work last week hes got a 1996 Ford Mustang GT (first year of the 4.6) its an automatic with flows and a k&n filter.he swears up and down he can take my RS from a stop light.What do you guys think???my mods are in the sign

 

Hahaha, he isnt a 15.1 car, probably in the mid 15s, so you should take him pretty easily.

 

you should hear him run his mouth all he talks about is beating **** and new cobras its pretty funny

Those cars are sad but so is the LO3 so it will be a drivers race. I think you can beat him because it is an auto and they were even slower.

 

Ok not quite like this, it will be a good run, a 15.1 LO3 is not going to crush his car by any means...

 

seems like whoever gets the better launch will come out on top

 

with the exhaust, driver depending, he could be a 15.0 or better. i'd almost give him the win if he knows how to drive.

ok guys here it is this happend Saturday night about 11pm

we waited for the light by sitting on the side of the road.Soon as it turned yellow we jumped out and caught it.I did a nice little burnout to at least heat up the tires a bit.He threw a couple revs and dry hops to chirp tires i guess to intimidate me.I brung it up a bit to about 2000 then the light goes green.LOADS of wheel spin from me and he too had traction problems.finally it stops spinning and takes off.I glanced over and his front bumper is at the rear of my passenger door.I hit the B&M shifter as hard as i could for second (CHIRP).i glanced back over and he fell back,so now his front bumper is at the rear tires.5000 comes along and i hit the shifter for third gear.i glanced back over and he is now back up to the door again.Coming up on at least 90 now he is very very slowly inching his way past the old RS i hit overdrive and he goes side by side then my front bumper is at his door.In my opinion it was damn good race but in the 1/4 mile i think id kill em but now i know he does not beat new Cobras because he barley went by an LO3 Camaro

 

Good run, but I dont think you would "kill" him, people use that word too much, in my eyes killing someone is beating them by 3+ cars. That sounded like a good race all the way, and with a better driver would have been door to door, nice win!

 

sounds like you should of stopped earlier like at 90 then you could have racked up a win. get a few other mod (like hedders ) and waste him or just get better traction off the line. but sounds like a good race.

 

good race man! talking a bout killing...........i got killed by a 93 z........yeah i have an lg4............the only thing i saw was tail lights.........from so far back its not funny.

good run though.........yes headers will help

Well if he keeps talking remind him of these few facts.

His car is 5 years newer than your in technology.
His car is rated 55hp more than the LO3 (225 vs 170)
It took him till 90 to barely edge past you.

I would say you should be the one to brag. Ford really overrated those cars power numbers. And as for beating newer cobras, ha ha just wait till he really runs one and others are there to watch.

 

yeah he will get a rude awakening when he steps up to the plate against an 03. Oh and another thing to brag about is your car looks better!
