What is happening?

Whenever I am out in my car, in bad weather, everyone and their brother tries to race me. Just today, it was pouring down rain, and I'm just driving home from work, and a saturn with a "muffler" and stripes keeps pacing me, then gunning it, then he figures out that I'm not going to race him on the street, and he takes off, probably up to around 75-80 in a 35
Then the day before, it was cold, and the roads were a little icey, a sentra with a "muffler" sits next to me revving for a couple miles
You would think that they would get the idea, that I don't street race, and I'm sure as hell not going to do anything stupid when the roads are bad

maybe they think on ****ty roads that you wont be able to get traction and they might have the upper hand at you being they have front wheel drive they will get more traction and have a chance on icey roads maybe thats it or they are just dumb asses looking for some one to **** off. dont race your car on ****ty roads because are cars dont handle for crap on crappy road conditions and you will end up putting it in the ditch.

It is the only way they can beat you. If you slide off the road than that gives them the advantage.

Our cars are doubted. I have a friend that has semi-converted to imports, and it's a little sad some of the cars he thinks are fast enough to take my stock gta. Imo, our cars are pretty good considering their around 16 years old. Thats a long time. Especially when most of the cars we race are less than 5, and we still win.

Just two nights ago, I saw a stealth in my mirror, and one of my friends has a stealth, so I slowed down to see if it was him. It pulled up next to me, I looked to see if it was him, it wasn't, but since I looked at him, he started revving and honking, then took off, cutting off people left and right. He cut off a suburban and missed by a few inches, then the suburban took off after him. One thing you should never do around cities with sports teams, is cut off a big truck with big wheels. Last thing you want is a truck full of three hundred pound guys after you because you almost hit their $60k suv

You guys talk about imports like it's a done deal. Last night, first me in my 91 formula at light #1, and then my friend in his mid 13's 94 GT at light #2 got FLAT OUT POUNDED by a stock-looking integra. Talk about frightning. So if you somehow don't even feel the need to race these guys before you talk down to them, then yall must have some fast freaking cars.

I'm not saying I won't race them on the street because it would be a waste of gas, I just don't race on the streets. I know that most of them would have beaten me, as I run 16.1's, but I still do it at the track

I agree to some of that. All I have here is Santa Fe are the damn ricers with fart cans. So everyone I know has some kind of import. A few I can beat, a few I smoke BAD, But the rest....I have no chance. Problem , is that it matters where the money is...The only thing I have done to my car is the Engine swap....These guys have all sorts....look at the Toyota Supra...i saw one the other day with 600 horses @wheels...but no matter...I'll race anything win or lose.

Dangerous and dumb a lot of people are :-) (yoda speak there i think lol)

I know for a fact that in my formie on the roads lately, even being dry there is so much salt and garbage on them i literally go sideways if i stomp it at 60mph and hit it hard coming off the converter :-(

Its not fun and downright dangerous...........havent been able to WOT here in almost 3 weeks or so now :-(

Almost everyday on the way to work (80/94) someone goes blowing by and a ridiculous spee dof road conditions or sits next to me gunning it or just revving at me :-( like to laugh when i go down the road and find one of them in the ditch :-)

Yeah, our cars SUCK in winter road conditions. You would think we would be smart enough to either:

a.) have a second vehicle for winter/crummy weather conditions. or

b.) move to a warmer climate.

I prefer the second choice, but, it would seem I am not real bright either.........
