84 Corvette performance?

Got a guy at work who has the crossfire 84 Corvette completly stock. I know they made 205HP not sure of TQ, anyone know what their 1/4 mi. times are like? Maybe even 0-60. I am pretty sure I can take him, I have more HP but he is probably lighter anyone know their weight.

You should beat him pretty good. Mid 80's vettes were horrible performers stock. Your L98 should lay into him.

If I remember correctly....the crossfire was the weakest motor ever put into a corvette. I'm not a corvette guru, but I know that my brother had an 85 crossfire/auto and it was nothing to brag about ( performance wise ) - Still it will be interesting , and let us know what went down!!! good luck to ya!

The crossfire vettes were low 15 sec cars at best. My friend had one with headers and true dual flomasters w/ no cats and it ran 14.7, I think he also had 3.42 gears but im not sure. You should take him easy if you car is running good and his isnt heavily modded. Good Luck.

The 305 HO in the Camaro that year with a manual beat it 9 times out of 10. CFI looks cool i guess...That's about it.

I believe the 78 vette was the slowest ever produced as far as Hp/tq numbers are concerned and it took them a while to get fast again. You should take him no problem.

What about the 53 vette with the old 6cyl and 2spd auto? That has got to be the slowest vette outside of the 83 I know you said you didn't know much about em, i just felt like showing what little i know.

Hey thanks for all the comments I kinda felt that way. He's one of these major trash talkers, you know the type OH I got a Corvertte your crappy little Trans Am will be two cars back. I put $200 bucks on a race and he won't bite finding every excuse not to run me. Maybe he will give in someday. He may have an exhaust because it sounds decent but other than that I am pretty sure he is stock, he's not much of a car guy. Damn I would love to beat a Vette though!!

i have to agree on this one... the old inline blue flame 6 has to be the slowest vette ever produced. however, the most pathetic has to be the 1980 Vettes shipped to California... they came with carbed 305s
The crossfire vettes were low 15 sec cars at best
the best ive ever heard of was high 14s for a bone stock Xfire C4. this only happens when all the planets align though... most are in the mid - high 15s with crappy drivers
I know that my brother had an 85 crossfire/auto
sure he didnt have an 84? TPI was introduced in 1985
I know they made 205HP not sure of TQ
torque was rated at 290 ftlbs

A stock 1984 Vette is probably a low 15 second car (15.1-15.4).

Next to the 6 cylinder Vette, the worst performing were the mid 1970's models, most could barely break into the 15's with the best motors.
