My best kill yet!
Ok, now I've put away quite a few cars in my day, mostly ricers, mustangs, couple corvettes and so on. Yesterday though, was the absolute best. I'm at the bank getting some cash for Fat Tuesday. I pull out of the parking lot and stop at a four way. In front of me is a brand new Dodge ram with a cummins diesel. Normally I wouldn't give such a thing a second glance but something caught my eye. The back of the guys window is covered in stickers. On the left side is says "eatin fords, sh*tin chevys". No big deal, I can live with that. Now on the right side it says " why stroke it, when you can RAM it". He's got my attention now. I give my horn a double tap so the guy will look at me in his rearview. Ha, just like clock work. I point at my engine, and give the hand and arm signal for stroking. Guy smiles, starts shaking his head and revving up his engine. Blowing black crap all over my hood. Oh yeah, I hate diesels too. The light turns green and we both turn right onto a double lane road. As soon as he clears the corner he hammers it. Huge billows of black smoke are just pouring out of this thing. I'm right behind, and switch over to the left lane. Now its my turn. I romp on the gas and pass him like he's standing still. Unfortunetly I had to turn left and he went straight. I would have loved to see the look on his face. I don't know why, but for some reason his stickers just set me off. He'll be lickin his *** for a month to get the taste of my chevy out of his mouth. Well thats my story. *** knows I'll be telling it to everyone for years to come.

The engine is a 383 stroker. I'm not sure what the HP rating is yet, but hopefully in a couple weeks I'll get it dynoed. I figure its got about 400 hp. I've seen similar designs like mine that push around 420-440hp with aluminum heads. Mine are still stock cause I'm saving up for some AFR's.

Like I said, I've had better races with faster cars. I had to show this dude up though. I mean if your gonna talk sh*t, you better back it up. He looked like a jerk anyways.

Its good to burst peoples bubbles. so nice kill. Gotta watch out for some of those diesles though, they are getting huge power numbers out of em with just tuning, then theres aftermarket parts. Its kinda scary to watch 5000lbs+ trucks hit 12's and faster.

Yeah those diesels have tons of torque. On Dodge's website they say the 5.9L cummins has over 600 ft lbs. at only 1600 rpm's and 325 HP at 2900 rpms. Kinda scary when the power to weight ratio of a truck is almost better than some cars.

you mean TORQUE ratio. Most of our 350s have more HP than these trucks.
I hate trucks - especially ones that think they are fast

its even better when you are driving an almost bone stock L03 car with just over 100k miles on it and you beat that kind of person.

It's easy to get more power out of diesels these days. There's a twin turbo version for Dodge Rams that puts out 500+ hp and 1400 tq! Just a simple plug in module will boost them up 75 hp and 260 tq over stock.
