Is this car a automatic or a stick shift? I tell ya, i had a 1990 Z-24 one time with that engine (3.1) I loved that car, and i love that engine. Also what year is it? 93-97 engine was different than the 98-02. If it is a 93-97 and you hit the gears just right from a stop, personally i think you might can take him, especially if his is an auto. And sorry about all the ruckus caused in your previous post.

Yeah well if it it is a 93-97 and a 3.4 then i'd say you have him, my girl beat one in her focus up until about 70, so you should take him. However if it is a newer one, then it'll probably kill you cuz they have the 3800 Series II in them, with 200 hp. So just keep us updated!!! Yeah, i'm sorry too for all the nonsense that was caused in ur last post!!!

I don't think you could get the 3.4 in 98+ cars. I'm pretty sure 3.8 was the only v6 option.

3.4L V6: 160hp, low 16 sec car. availibility = 93 - 96

3.8L V6: 200hp, low 15 sec car. availibility = late 96 - 02

so which is it? if your friends car is indeed a 99, then he definately has the 3.8

The last year for the 3.4 was in 95. You could get the 3.4 or 3.8 for that model year. If his is a 99 he has the 200hp 3.8. They are very quick for a V6 f-body. Some can run low 15's and high 14's. I do not know you or your mods so you may want to refresh us with what you have.

Ok I just read under your user name what you have. You are going to get murdered. You don't have a chance at any speed. Even a full exhaust LO3's and LG4's can't hang.

I figured it would be a pretty good race. All I have done to my car is the Beretta cylinder heads and intake manifold, SS springs, special edition IROC sway bar. He is factory stock. I just wanted to see what a nonbias party thought.
