perhaps you mean the one without the full interior trim. I've heard about one witch was stock engine wise but thrown some interior out.
really stock ones are in the 14.6-15 range.
260hp and 280 lbft
modded ones are actually in the 12 i think.
or check out clubgp
that's why i needed a s/c for the z. it would be bad if the daily driver is faster than the Camaro....

i belive that (modded) GTPs hit hight 12s because out at the 1/4 by me most GTPs and (modded) Lightnings are very competative in the high 12 sec. brackets...

Most GTPs I have seen run low 15's stock. I saw one go 14.9, but thats the fastest I have ever seen a stock one go.

Check out this guy http://www.clubgp.com/cgi-asp/detail...tOwnerID=16338 hes runnin low 15's with a decent amount of mods. I also saw guys on that site running high 14's with higher boost pullies, exhuasts, and chips. So I defenetly dont think stock GTP's run mid 14's.

Yes, but he is also 4 door, I would guess the 2 door model weighs a couple hundred pounds less, and (I believe) the rule of thumb is for ever 100 pounds you take off = .1 in the quarter. I can believe low 15's and maybe the occasional high 14 with the right driver/weather conditions in a stock (or close to it) 2 door.
A kid I know had the "Fastest Nitrous GTP in the World" at one point. I think he ran 12.4 at Milan here in Michigan. I'm sure his record has been eclipsed at this point. But I don't mess with those GTP's.

Forget about the GTP. The LS1 powered GTO should be out there on the streets right now. They're two door, rear wheel drive coupes. I smell high 13-second et's.

As an owner of both...
I just dyno'd my 04 Comp G, 219 hp at the wheels.
Playing with the g-tech shows the CompG is about as fast as my L98...and the CompG is all stock....

well this thread is a few days old, but anyways...
GTP's have a lot of factory freaks, but they are a very fast daily driver.
Over at clubgp.com, there are a lot of politics that you have to be apart of the group to understand. yes Scott Cook has ran those times, but not with the mods listed...hell he doesnt even have the m90 supercharger anymore
Intense isnt a very well liked company for a reason. Also Cook has a very hard time to make one pass down the track without needing a complete engine rebuild. However over at the ZZP camp there are some even more impressive cars. one should be able to run high 10's this year and still drive back and forth from the track. His car is very very much a proto type with parts not avalible to the public, and some unannounced mods.
a GTP that i always wrench on just dyno'd at 295 hp and 382 tq, very impressive if you ask me, and still gets 29 mpg.....a very nice daily driver

I'd definitely say they are a quick everyday driver. I just scored a 14.03@97.64 mph this friday with just a 3.4" pulley, CAI, 180*, and u-bend delete. This all costed less than $200 cause i got most of it used.
