HEMI Ram Cop Stop
This is a cop got the kill story. I was driving down the highway the other day headed home from Corpus Christi on Memorial Day weekend. I was doing 75 in a 70, just cruising, minding my own business. I see a Dodge Ram enter the highway and then he speeds up to catch me and then matches my speed, me in the right lane, him in the left. Now, I have a radar detector and it had been going off on a regular basis as the highway was crawling with cops being memorial day weekend. So I glance over at the guy and he’s staring straight ahead, but I notice his HEMI badge on the truck. So I ignore him then he starts speeding up and slowing down trying to get me to race him. I’m thinking Speed Racer here has seen WAAAAAY too many HEMI Ram commercials. But, I ignore him because it’s not worth risking a ticket to dust the moron. He keeps this up for about 5 miles then pulls in front of me and slows down so I have to go around him. As soon as I pull even he speeds up again to match my speed, then I see a muffler in the middle of the road so I give it a quick blast so if he hits the thing it won’t get thrown against my car. Well Speed Racer thinks the race is on and jumps on it. After he realizes I was just getting around the muffler he starts back with trying to get me to race. After about another 5 miles he decides I’m not going to race and he speeds off ahead of me. Just as he takes off the ol radar detector started going off, sure enough over the next hill sits a cop and he nailed Speed Racer. Man was I laughing when I drove by, what an idiot! Do these morons really think their HEMI Rams are fast! I guess it was fast enough to get a ticket.

New Hemi's
The old Hemi's were big blocks with a true Hemispherical combustion chamber. The new engines don't have a true hemispherical combustion chamber. So they are called a HEMI for marketing not because they are. The combustion chamber is closer to that of a BOSS 429 which was called a Semi-Hemi in it's day and that would be a correct term for the current HEMI it should be a Semi-HEMI and since most are in trucks.....................

Those new Hemi trucks actually do have a lot of get up and go for a fullsize truck. When I pulled one out of the bay at work the other day, I tapped the gas to see how much it had and it instantly spun the tires. I was pretty surprised that truck had that much power.
