Camaro Vs. Hopped up M3

My brothers friend came over yesterday with his 2004 BMW M3. He wanted to race, and we did, and I blew the doors off of him from a stop, as well as a roll, i pulled about 2 cars on him and let off. I took him out of the roll, and from a stop. My question is, how fast are these things stock? It has stuff done to it (suspension, intake, exhaust, headers, dyno tuned, trip tronic SMG stuff, whatever it is the automatic manual thingy with paddle shift, 4.10 gears out back, carbon fiber hood, etc.) he said it ran a 13.5 stock a long time ago. I personally didn't think I would take him, because I heard they are quite fast. Any comments?

My car:
ZZ4 crate motor with a few changes (worked heads (zz4 heads) crane roller rockers, crane 494 lift cam, headers, true duals, 3.73 rear end, adj. suspension, 700 R4 with shift kit, and nitto drag radials.
I'll post a video as soon as i can of it, we did tape it. This makes me want to take my car to the strip now, because i think ill run it in the 12's somewhere...

It weighs about as much as a thirdgen and has a little bit more torque than an average thirdgen 305 V8, but the HP rating is much more impressive coming in at 333 HP @ 7900 RPMs.

Curb Weight: 3415 lbs.

Engine: DOHC 24V inline 6 cylinder
CR: 11.5:1
Torque: 262 ft/lbs @ 4900 RPM
HP: 333 @ 7900 RPM

Rear wheel drive with 6-speed, 0-60 in 4.8 seconds.

You must have a pretty beefy car if you took one of these, especially a modded one. Good kill.

Most of the east bolt on mods don't hardly do any improvements to the M3. Some even lose hp. The car is already highly tweaked from teh factory that its very hard to squeeze any more power out of it. Its very costly to get any real mods for it like headers.

They are just a smidge slower than an LS1. They are fast and are not to be taken lightly. I beleive his 13.5.

Must be all Dinan parts. Its probably not any faster than it was stock. Many owners on the bimmerforums are complaining why they aren't doing better at teh track or even uping their trap speeds much.

Whata bout the Z4?

right before my car took a dump, a girl was tryin to mess with me on a desert freeway.

we were doing 55mph and we progressively got faster and faster .. ya know how that goes.

get up to 70mph and I punch it and start pullin to my rear tire was at her door. And I see her car jump like she just hammered it.

but she never went by, I kept pulling through all the gears and eventually she backed off and I disapeared into the mountains.

and I have always had TPI and nothen else, she shoulda flew right by me from 55mph roll.

why not? it was a BMW Z4 w/ a nice light blue color

There are different motors in the Z4, it was probably just the 4-cylinder or something.

You didn't ask him what his speedometer read? Because from there you can figure out your trap speed, and then you can figure out what your 1/4 mile time would be. But make sure you adjust your sprocket calculations to accommodate his gear change.

Wow nice kill. Your engine cost as much as a year of his payment on that thing .

I've got an unmodded ZZ4 with 3.23s, headers, 670cfm Holley, aftermarket exhaust, and a stock 700R4 that freewheels under power shifting. Last summer I ran a best of 14.1 at the track. So I'd bet with your cam and the shift kit you are in the low 13s.

The ZZ4 is great. You can never have too much torque
