Assuming you have good T5 driving abilities, you should beat all but the GTP. I bet the other two GT's will be closer than you think.

i'm assuming that when you say he hits 95 that your actually saying he traps 95mph in the 1/4.

To answer stu i know the kid and yes he is a tard and dirt poor so he aint getting no turbo he just has a HUGE ego after beating the other 4 bangers in town

I am saying the civic is the most modded car on the list

And yes my T5 skills are good, and i trap a hair above 100

The dude with the civic and neon happen to be brothers

Alright heres where you find out more about me, if you have run 100 mph traps, what were the 60', 1/8th, and 1/4 mile numbers??? If you dont have any you DONT trap 100. I am HUGE against people quoting times they didnt run! Prove me wrong, and Ill gladly accept!

Two things:
1) I want to know what you mean by the Civic goes 95 or whatever you said.
2) A roller rink is smoother than every race track, but that doesn't mean jack.

thats a good question because the way we do it i get almost 105 when for real its more like 96-98 on normal everyday street tires from what my uncle tells me (he is the original owner and has timeslips for it)

edit: my dads 1984 Monte Carlo---not even trying i will get pwned badly

Well without timeslips you dont run anything in the 1/4... I trap 105, I really dont think your running similar mph to mine (although I personally know how track measure mph).

Oh well, good luck against the other cars, just be safe and make sure noonw gets hurt!

he dont know have crap trust me its just a crappy green 4 door buick he thinks is fast

According to my uncle(he knows what he is talking about---1970 Z28 with a 355 consistent 12's) it can break 100 on micky thompsons i will ask him to send me the slips he said he got 105 but thats on drag tires so i will most likely get in the high 90's plus he can REALLY drive

No offense but he doesnt know what he is talking about. Street tires will generally give you higher traps than a race tire. The reason, a race tire will have air dropped out for launching purposes, and that hurts the top end charge. Also track tires are notoriousely wider, for more contact patch, which equals more rolling resistence and that in turn hurts top end mph. Also the track gets its mph numbers by taking the last 60 feet of the track, and averaging those numbers to give you the mph on the timeslip, NOT the mph you cross the beams at!

I will say again, if he got 105 mph on race tires, your car runs low 13s, high 12s??? I really doubt your cars even close to that! Get a timeslip, Id be willing to say mid 14s @ 96 or so is more accurate than anywhere near 12s at 105!

you need to get to a real track. the way your doing it is inaccurate and illegal. post up how you do against the other cars, but until you get some times from a track, don't post times and stick by them like the gospel. i have a done up 305 and i trap 100mph. i doubt you trap anywhere near what i do.

screw the track and screw real timeslips i will keep doing it on the street on the empty farm roads its called "street racing" for a reason plus why should i break local tradition for you guys? Not even the cops care we do it they know who does it and when but they dont care cuz they grew up around here and did it themselves. Hell my dad and i are going to race each other soon too.

I say from the tennis team adopt a highway road sign to the telephone poll that is about to fall over poll is a 1/8 and to the Johnson Farm place mail box is a 1/4 and the the intersection down Hickory road is out favorite place to

The reason is safety. If you wreck will there be a medical crew on hand to instantaneously help you? Are their walls to keep you from flipping end over end? Is your road long enough for you to roll to a stop provided your brakes fail? Are you sure no one will be driving dow that road when you decide to be crazy. Plus, timeslips don't lie like lines in the street. Just some food for thought.

The road is over 25 miles long and we know everybody that lives on it so we know when to race and not to race the hospital knows all of us by our first names (for "other reasons") and the ambulance is always ready to go....and who said we hit the brakes we all just coast to a stop oh and no worries about crossing deer since all of them around here are hanging on various ppl's walls

Tradition is tradition

This is a bit of subject but who else listens to Led Zeppelin while driving?<------cant find where to post that

Interesting, I'd agree on the suggestions of mid 14.xx's at around 96 mph in the 1/4. Aren't the GTP's running about similar times as that?

About street racing, I honestly feel alot safer and comfortable taking it to the track, and plus there's plenty of nice cars to check out and people to talk to as well, and not to forget a safety crew on hand. But for what it's worth, have fun and good luck running a quick time.

Its a fun tradition everybody takes part in (atleast most of the guys at school)

Just to say i am not a careless speed demon i only race once in a blue moon...most of the time i cruise at 25mph listening to music and picking up any long legged blonde i can get...the girls love the Camaro

dont think i am even gonna race i am just gonna mess around with my buddies in the country (we build derby cars) since i cant afford the gas....$2.35 for 92 octane just to waste time on some crappy 4 banger

People who avoid the track, are just scared to see the results, and by the sound of it, you have high hopes for a car that wont run at the track worth a lick (gotta throw the hillbilly ******* word in this post, for some reason it calls for it). I dont mind that you dont race at the track, but then you dont have numbers on the car, you dont have trap speeds, or anyway to compare with other cars. Granted by seeing what you plan to race, your car cant be too fast...

Keep tradition going, sounds safe..."real" racers do it on farm roads with street signs and maiboxes to mark off the track!

EDIT: No need for bashing.

What was so offensive about what he said? It was a light hearted comment that was meant to be taken with a chuckle. He said nothing about you or your character. Relax.

Are you blind>??? Do you know who Shifty is on the board. I guess not or you probably wouldnt keep attacking him!

And believe it or not I listen to lots of types of music, rap, rock, country, but thats not the point of this section of the website! I think you should just relax, and take the critisicm with the compliments!

What compliments? Every time i post something no matter what it is i get bashed. (rock metal indie alternative ska punk pretty much everything that isnt pop or rap i have learned to kinda like country since my buddies love it) i was just wondering what eveybody else listens and plus where would i post this?

Well iam planning on shutting up some jerk off who thinks his car is the fastest thing on wheels and all my friends said i am the guy to do it

The only good real cars to race around here are: 70 mustang, 70 chevelle, 71 Z28, 81 T/A, 69 torino,2 1986 Irocs, 91 RS & a Prowler, 2 Ls1 vettes aside from the vettes and prowler i would beat the rest hands down

i listen to pop punk, hardcore punk, oldschool punk, skinhead punk, political punk, ska, regae, jazz, swing, pop, rock, country, ect. but this board is SPECIFICALLY thirdgen tech related. no-one cares about the stupid music you or i listen to. you'll have to find another board to post about music.

street racing is dangerous and stupid, no matter where you do it. there are always those small chances you take of possibly hurting/killing someone else. never said i haven't done it myself, cause i have, i am still young and sometimes my youth gets the best of me. but for the most part, i keep it at the track. and so what if you have to make the trip to the track and family weekend ordeal. my family is the only ones i want to see me race anyhow.

ya, but tgo is probably one of the most informative and comprehensive thirdgen tech-related sites you'll find. That's why most of us take kindly to the rules.

mustang this is just some internet forum site whats the worst that can happen i get banned? oh well its not the end of the world jeez its not like shifty can have me arrested for not following forum rules or anything
If this is your attitude your not wanted here. Seems noone else has issue following rules, or not attacking the moderators. I also like to see your lack of care for others lives, I personally dont care if you wreck your car street racing, its your choice to put yourself in danger, I just hate to think you could possibly injure someone else. Granted you talk about racing in a very safe place, and thats a good start but your opinion on lack of jusgement or care, makes me believe your going to wind up taking someone else out.

Oh well, at least Im not sharing my opinion on music, LOL!

I usually try to be fair and respectful, but I can't take much more of this kid. You need less free time buddy.
