in our town of 50k we have 2 street cars with 9sec. slips and 5 in the 10s and another 5 or 6 in the 11 to 12 second range. 1 of the 10 sec cars (a 85 camaro) is going with the BIG pro charger, and hopeing for 8's this year . these are cars that are out every saturday nite on the cruise.
just 3 years ago the fastest car was 11.0 and everyone else was in the 11,12 to 13 sec. range . every one really picked it up around here

Never mind, I was wrong. I could have sworn that lasers never got awd, but oh well. They didn't get awd untill 92, and there was no second generation laser, I got confused
