Civic SI
Coming home last night from a friends house, around 1 am, theres a pair of blue head lights pull really close to the rear of my car. Next thing I know this kid shot out from behind me into the lane next to me. This is a fairly large road with minimal traffic, but is littered with traffic lights. So after all his heroics, he gets stopped at the same light as me.
Earlier SI, 98-99, looked completely stock. At any rate he shoots a rev, I just sit there and think to myself "i'll take him off the line, but chances are he'll walk me above 60." Well, I throw caution to wind and say what the h*ll. As expected I took him off the line, and pretty much kept a 3 car lead for the remainder of the race. We only went to 70 or so, because I had to turn off soon, and didn't want to push it on a public road. I know these cars can be quick, mid to low 15's stock(stu could probably clarify this hopefully)I think. Maybe he missed-shift, or got a bad launch, at any rate his misfortune made my evening.

Wow nice run and good driving. He should have beaten you but I guess you were the better driver that night.
Most SI's can hang with LO3 cars.

I have a 3.1, auto with cat back, straight piped, custom intake, and a fresh tune up. I have yet to go to the track, but that will change next thurs. What kind of times do you think I'll be putting down. High 16's mid 16's, Low 17's, mid 10's? I'll eventually be swapping my 3.4 mill.

i seen one on the highway once, black with a pipe. all the mods i could tell.
he got on it and it took him forever to accelerate. has to be one of the slower cars i've seen. it was spewing black smoke and was screaming but got no where. i could have caught him in a second if i wanted to

I have a feeling that it will be in the mid to high 16's, I don't really expect anything more from it right now. My goal is to get it mid 15's to low, but only time will tell.

maybe at best high 16's i have a 3.1 91 fbird and i can barely think of anything ive ever beaten in it... Civic Si sucks. When I had my LT1 Caprice police cruiser (with 167k miles on it, by the way) I *** raped my friend who had just purchased one this last winter. After all our endless arguments about V8s vs ****, I thought he was gonna cry when i beat him to 100 by several car lengths and then shut down. Getting beat by a 4000+ lb sedan must suck. TPI 305s should hand them their ***. Si has to be a 16 second car.

It's just kind of how things go. It must be in the agreement you have to sign to buy a fart pipe. In order to purchase this muffler you must hereby run red lights so everyone will hear your car+ think your really cool cuz you break the rules. what a rebel you are.

I Agree to a point. There is lot's of kids that drive imports who i have no problem with. RIcers are the impor kids that are total douches. so *****'s is more like a durogutory term for a jerk who drives an import. I think jerks who drive domestics can be lot's of things, but ***** isn't one of 'em.

so domestic jerks are wheaters? and what they drive are Wheat Burners? Ya If I called a kid a wheater I'd get my trash kicked so bad, not to mention sound like a queer.
