Another "what will she run" post :)

Well like the title says...

1991 Corvette block bored .030 to a 355. Aluminum L98 vette heads ‘113’ casting with slight bowl/blend job and beefier springs to handle cam. Running MAF with a custom chip...

- LCA's, Panhard bar, Subframes, strut tower brace, poly engine and tranny mounts.
- Vigilante 2800 stall TQ converter w/ transgo shift kit in tranny, with B&M tranny cooler
- Stock 3.23 posi rear
- 1.6rr with Lingenfelter (i think Superram cam)
- SLP 1 3/4 headers, Random tech Cat and Catback
- TPIS big mouth manifold, Ported Plenum, and for now stock runners and TB w/ Airfoil and K&N filters running through the stock air cleaner. (52mm TB and AS&M runners coming for the spring).
- Sitting on Bridgestone p245/50ZR16’s.

She is probably a heavy girl as she has power everything, T-tops and all…

So what do you guys think? 13’s? LT1 territory… Even LS1 territory? Fill me in…

What are the specs on the cam and what sort of tuning have you done? Without those two factors your car could run mid 14's or 12's.

Cam specs are: 211/219 duration @ .050 .530"/.560" with 1.6 rockers

had the chip done by fastchips. Still need to Time and set the fuel pressure (have a Crane AFPR on the car).

That help at all?

Assuming it has headers and its been tuned right, I wouldn't expect anything worse than low 13s if you can launch it right.

Can I post what I have and see what you guys think I will run?

I do not have cam specs right now, but when I get off work I will.

If you don't want me to post in this thread I will make another. Thx

Id say low-mid 14's. If youre lucky, youll bust off a high 13.....maybe.

Really low to mid 14's? I would think she would at least have a 13.99 in her. But I guess thats a trip down the track to prove or disprove isnt it.

Thanks guys for all the insight, I am hoping to get her back from the place thats putting on the headers and cat for me by tomorrow or Saturday. I'll probably be pondering this question the whole winter because the new engine hasent even seen 250 miles yet. I dont want to kill her during the break in period.

I am just hoping to see a 13.xxxx something wouldnt care if it's .99 or a .00 Coming from a 15.9 @ 85mph 305 this will seem like a dream...

That should be an easy 13 second combo. How much tuning did fastchips really do? Did they have access to the car for dyno tuning or was it mail order?

I say 13.2-13.4, doubt it'll run in the 14's.

mid 14s is what a stock 350 TPI should do. your combo (if the tune is good) should put out a high 12 or so with mph in the 102 - 105mph range providing you dont blow the launch

Now those are some responses I like to see.. So the majority feel 13's is pretty safe to say. Thank ***! Maybe when I actually learn how to launch and such and throw some slicks on she could hit the 12's ..... Someday

I seriouly doubt that even a bad driver can do worse than a mid 13 in that car, looks like a good combo.

Low to mid 13's wouldnt be unreasonable at all

Traction is going to be your biggest enemy for sure.
