Got a guy in stang pulled over! :)
well about 2weeks ago or so i decided to take my car out for its first night out on "The Avnue" in over a year and it still wasent tuned quite like it should be so it sounded like it had has a hella cam in it. well anyway i pulled up to a stop light and noticed that sitting next to me was a 96-98 stang gt. ive seen him around before and that thing is freakin loud one of the best sounding ones ive heard though but anyway we were at the red light and right before the light changed he startedto inch forward and gently tapping the gas so i knew he wantd to see if i would play. im not that stupid cause on my way into town there were cops EVERYWHERE! but i figured id atleast make him think i would so when the light changed i put it in first and we both started to turn onto the main road ust real smooth and slow but once i started to straighten out and got to about 2grand i got on it and he did to and surprisingly i held him off a lil bit considering i got a jump on him and i was in the inside lane and my 2.73 rear. i heale it to about 40mph since the speed limit through there is 35 and i just let off and let the motor just back off and i mean he was still just laying in on it he had to of been doin between 55-65. then about that time i looked over and coming down the other side of the road was a cop so i through it up in a higher gear so as i woldnt be as loud and so he wouldnt assume me of doing something and the guy in the mustang cut me off right after we pased the cop and he turned into a shell station real fast. then i looked in my rear mirror and saw the cop turn around and thought that he was gona come after me since i was right alongside of that stang and i realy just about craped myself when i saw his lights come on and follow me a little up the road but then i watched him pull into the shell station and pull up behind that stang
. at that point i figured that i had had enough excitment for one night and my first night back out with the ol' T/A so i hurried up and hopped on I81 and got home. I think it will be awhile though before i go back out cause im sure that the driver of that stang was pretty pissed since i did taunt him a lil i guess.

it hapend in Staunton Va. its a 305 0.030 over with stock intake and exhaust manifolds with freshend up 416 heads POS 327 cam 447 lift 222 dur with flattop pistons. not radiacal at all but she heads were shaved quite a bit since the boy i bought them from warped the hell outa them! so that upped my compression a bit. it woulnt spin from a stand still unless i powerbrake but if im crusing at about 20mph and stomp it
it'll spin the rest of 1st and the next lil bit of 2nd. cams power range is suppost to be from 2200-5200 i think! but it makes good power to about 5500rpm considering that stock intake.my gf and i were talking about moving to Roanoke cause thats where she wanted to goto school but not now! i need to find some 3rdgen buds around here im the only one i know of except for some ppl i see every now and then but most of them dont see a 3rdgen like most of us on here! im surrounded by F*%& fans

Well maybe I didn't see it after all, lol. The stang I saw saw was on Williamson Road in Roanoke, he was also getting written up at a gas station. If you do make it down to the Salem/Roanoke area hit me up, there's about 6 f-bodies owners within like 2 blocks from where I live, pretty strong following down here.

i saw one around here today i tryed to catch up with looked like a 84 t/a but there was someone between us and i was almost out of gas and i didnt want to seem like a A$$hole following him around. ive seen a few guys out but one or two where pretty cool and one i thought was gona kick my a$$ for saying nice car. everyone around here has stangs unfortunately. the only other person i know is this girl i go to school with she has a 88 iroc-z tpi305 and 5spd and she thinks its so ungodly fast! but shes cool. only other person i know is my uncle who had a mint 92 firebird and now has a 02 T/A
but i know more than he does still! that girl with the iroc wants to race though i dunno how i would match up. i do know she has a real high rear end ratio also but only thing it realy has is no cat and muffler with a y before rear so she has two tips. i think it would be a good race but im sure she wold rape me from a dig but from a roll i dunno cause i can hold 1st gear to almost 55! so i can keep in right about the right power range as long as i dont spin when getting into it hard. once i get some tuning done and beter intake/exhaust and carb and posibly geas id like to meet up with that stang again in a rural area or the track preferably.
