This was my first race, since I got this car a month ago. Last night, I pulled up to a light in the far right lane in down town Orl.(I couldn't get over beforehand because of traffic)
There's an off ramp to the highway(I-4)on the far left, and there's a black mid-late 90's M3 in that lane.I creep up, he sees me, than so does he,
(some sport ute was in the middle lane)If I had gone straight, I would have gotten stuck in more after hours traffic, so.. light turns green, I ease out, than hear him punch it, I punch, tires smoke,
gain traction, hit second, jump right out, than cut his a$$ off and merge on the on ramp
He caught up with me on the highway, tried me again, raced him to 80, had him by about 2 cars, then I let off. To his defense, he did have 2 other dudes with him, and I was by myself, albeit with a full tank of gas. Those cars come with 240hp stock, but my cars basically stock right now,(see sig)It was a do or die race, and it sure did get the adrenalin goin'.

Wow, you consider your motor oil a mod?

Well you also have the torque of a Chevy V8.
And probably a lighter car...
You should get an exhaust put on that thing. At least a cat-back. Definitely a worthwhile investment.

Technically it's not really a mod IMO, but it didn't have that from the factory. I have so littele mods right now, I want to put something

Yeah, I know, I had SLP's 3 inch catback, on my 90GTA and loved it. I was debating taking it off and storing it in my parents attic before I sold it 4 years ago,(I knew I'd get a thirdgen again someday) Originally Posted by ScottyRS

but I didnt want to go through the trouble)no place to do it at my apt.complex) and buying a used exhaust to replace it. Well, I really wish I would have
as that exhaust is now almost $500(I paid $350)and it's a "universal fit". My plan with this car, is to make a Firehawk clone with GMPP crate motor, T56, Firewawk wheels and it just wouldn't be the same without that exhaust. I'm hopin to score a good used one on here or ebay soon.Supreme Member
If you raced the one that came with 240 stock, I guess I could believe this. The newer ones come with 333. And they probably aren't much heavier, if they are at all.
I doubt it was the 333hp version, they all look the same to me except wheels though. This one did have some aftermarket chrome wheels. It might have been a much closer race without the 2 passenger's who weren't exactly "jockey's". I'm really proud and happy the way this Formy is running after I tuned it up. When I got it,the 95kmi engine was in badly need of one, and felt like a dog.
333hp would wax a L98. 333hp ones run mid 13's

but not a 94 auto LT1 vette. This chick I hung out with last year a few time's had a 04 or 05 333hp stick M3. My mods on my vette were only a cut lid. I don't know how great a driver she wasOriginally Posted by Orr89RocZ

but I clearly pulled on her from a roll, both times we raced. She was actually pissed off about it

Are you kidding? I don't think a C4 can hang with an E46.Originally Posted by F&Ybodlover

C4 lt1s ran on par with ls1 fbodys

well mine not only hung with that beamer but clearly pulled on it. I tuned it up, put a new opti, cut lid, and a hypertech 160 therm, and deleted the cats with straight pipes. That's it.(I used Mobil 1also but that was factory fill)Originally Posted by stu

It ran really good, beat a few LS1 F-bods and a C5 vert with it at the lights. I even beat some lady driving a 390hp Cobra who kept tryng to race me with her kid in the car
Never took it to the track, but I bet it would have run a low 13 in cool weather. I actually like driving my Formula better, my 94 didn't have this good of throttle response around town, which is mostly where I drive, however, it would be toast on the highway against my vette.i have heard of C4 LT1 vettes running mid 13's. some even abit quicker. mph is mostly around 104-105mph or so. thats about E46 territory.

If C4's run par with LS1's...And LS1's are good for mid 13 seconds, then why wouldn't they be able to hang with the E46 333 HP beamer which also runs mid 13's?

C4 LT1 vettes are wicked. I've seen them go 12s with just drag radials
I WILL have one someday
