so last night yet again went out on my 130? shot of nitrous on my little 305tbi with catback, gutted cat, open element. so first i raced a miata i think stock but prob not. we went from a dig and i spun sideways let off then kept going and at 80 let off the laughing gas because i was way ahead.

then i found a nice bone stock 350z 6 speed. we went to about a 20-25 mph roll and i hit the nitrous as soon as i floored it and my car made a one tire fire as he pulled ahead 2-3 cars and pulled one more after i started going but im gonna race him again from a higher roll.

it was fun

well the guy wanted to race for money so i thought id do it for fun and i had no clue on his mods so i just did it plus im still tuning my jets and i found out last night im all tuned in perfectly where i want to be. i know it wasnt a good race but it was nice to finally go from a dig and see how the car reacts.

UPDATE

so again last night i reraced that 350z from a 40mph roll this time. i jumped on his immediately and put him at my rear bumper. from there to 110 he just stayed there and couldnt pull and neither could i.

got any clue how an intake exhaust LT1 6 speed would compare to the stock 350z with 6 speed?

The day my friend picked up his 350Z 6 speed car I raced him at the first stop light leaving the dealership in his 94 LT1 Formula with a 52mm throttle body, and exhaust, I bet him but not to horribly, maybe 2 cars. As for the L03 not surviving under a 130 shot, it'll be fine for a good long while, don't believe me? Look up the folks on here who have sprayed beyond that on stock 305's. Keep the fuel system in good shape and don't rev limit it you'll be fine.

350Z's are no joke specially the 6 speed i have the roadster edition 2006 and from a roll i get all over LT1 cars but im weak from the dig in the 350Z so if u take it from there youll prolly edge me out but from a roll i ahve yet to lose to an LT1 car....but the LS1 cars have no problem handing it too me....

but my 89 iroc 355 beats the 350 all around in the drag 350Z will dominate any 3rd gen in a road course...i run my camaro in autocross and still get better lap times in the 350 but am scared to scratch her lol...

but all in all i doubt any 3rd gen non 350 with some mods will be able to take a 350Z specially when mines rated at 300 HP....it really is a fast car ....reguardless of it being an import (*****?).....well just my 2 cents...

also i drag her and pull a 13.7 quarter time with a weak launch (350Z's only real weakness is the lack of power until i hit 4000rpm's)

Dude an LT1 vs an LS1 isnt that big of a difference.. a 97 Camaro SS has 310 horsepower.. an LS1 has 325..
