Well this kid I just met at school has a newer eclipse I would say 2000+ v6 5-speed and he thinks that he would smoke me but I dont know anything about these cars. Are they fast can they beat me. Here are my mods.

I think I should be able to take him but I just wanted to know cause I have no idea about these kinds of cars.

His car is stock except ,cold air intake, and exhaust.

 

With the gears, headers and im assuming exhaust by the flowmaster list, and not just a muffler, You should be good for low 14's high 13's depending on the overall tune and condition of the engine. It will be a close race but I think you can edge him out in a drag race, perhaps not a highway race however.

 

Those cars only have like 210 hp... and are very heavy. I wouldn't worry about him.

 

Even if they have 210 horse . I guessing there not close to 300+ torque.

Yeah, you should be able to take it, I would probably be able to take it on my car .. although it would definately be close..

 

Question, you have the 335 engine on a speed density car with only a stage 2 "super chip"? Was this programmed for the combination or what? Also what cam did you install when you went to the larger engine?

 

You should beat him!I had an 05 or so v6 messing with me on the interstste.Walked off and left him repeatedly.I would slow down and get the fly by,catch up with him and leave him again.I`m not bragging that i beat an apparently stock eclipse,Just think its funny when kids in new imports expect my old faded paint and stock rimed camaro to be really slow.Race him and find out.

 

I dont have the 335 stroker kit install at the moment it is sitting in the garage along with the heads.

The cam, Im just goin to use one of comp cams whole k-kits, ( I can get a whole kit for $400)

And the super chip will be pulled out and I will have a custom prom burn for the computer.
