Re: 1988 305 TBI VS. 1997 Nissan Maxima

the 97' Maxima:

190 hp
----------
97' Maxima

190 hp 205 torque

weight: 3001

pw/weight ratio: .063

88' 305 TBI

170 HP 255 Torque

weight: 3121

pw/weight ratio: .054

I would say the Maxima would win... you would pull on it from the start... but it would probably get ya top end... and that's everything stock for both cars

Id say just race it anyways, you can always use some higher octane fuel to give yourself a little more power.

LMAO, NO it won't give you anymore power. In fact if you run 93 in a Stock L03 running the stock timing advance you will LOSE power.

Loved my tbi and also love my lb9 so to be 17 years of age I think its good for me not to make 700hp with a massive built 350.

Starting in 95 all Maxima model got the exact same engine. Only difference with the SE models were stiffer suspension.

For a 97 with a 5 speed expect low 15s, auto high 15s

My friend has a 2000 with the 3.0 and from a roll he pulls away hard. Tune your ride if you haven't already and start from a dig. Good luck.
