third gen on third gen action

i found a nice gta 350 on the street and we booth pull over and talked. after shooting the breeze for 30 minutes he asks for a race. i led him to the highway. we agree to go from a slow role like 5 mph. i tell him to honk 3 times on the third time punch it. we line up he honks and then we go. by about 110 i have him by 8 cars. then we turned around and parked are cars. then we shoot the breeze a little more and look under each others hoods. he told me he runs a consent 14.2. after that i gave him my cell and we went on are separate ways.

Re: third gen on third gen action

one of my most exciting races was against another 3rd gen.. my brother's friend from high school.. his 406, th350 camaro vs my 385, t-5 TA..

RT---.515-.531
60ft--1.85-1.83
blah blah blah
1/4--12.76-12.68
mph-108-109

i took him by about 3/4 car.. exciting cause everytime i shift, he bump up on me.. then i slowly creep away..

Re: third gen on third gen action

Saturday night i had a very close race with my (former) friends 98 cat back lid ws6. we went from a slow roll, and he got a very small jump. I was slowly reeling him in till he let off at about 100 with my front bumper at his rear bumper.

with a set of plugs and a tune i should be able to take him. I think?

Re: third gen on third gen action

You were not reeling me in, I was out of the throttle for like 4 seconds trying to get the damn thing into 5th while you were catching up. Thank you crappy hydraulics. And I'm pretty sure I didn't get a jump since we did it twice. Plus you failed to mention that I had 200 pounds extra weight in my car. But that much said, you were closer than I expected and should be even with new plugs and a good tune.

Edit, I'm the one he raced in the LS1, I forgot to click show sig.

Re: third gen on third gen action

the first race we where even off the line but i hit the rev limiter in first bad.

the second from my vantage point you got about a 1/4 car jump. which you expanded to about a car and a half at about 40. i slowly got to 3/4 of a car in the top of second. you then expanded it to about a car when i shifted to 3ed and i slowly got back to your bumper in the top of third that is what i saw from my vantage point.

I figerd the lbs difference at about 125-150 lbs with my full tank of gas

Re: third gen on third gen action

First of all, you told me and Cody that you never got it into first in the first race, that you started off in second, now your telling everybody that you hit the limiter in first. How can you do that if you were never in first. I just IM'd Cody and he says you never bounced off the limiter.

In the second race, if I got a jump, thats your problem and you need to improve your reaction times or you will lose more races like this in the future. And Bondman says I was pulling away the whole second race and you never caught up till I got out of it around the top of 4th cause there was no point in going further since I had clearly won. You can claim that as a RI-cer flyby I guess.

Re: third gen on third gen action

I am admitting I lost but to say that he was pulling on me the hole time is a lie.

i even doubt if i would have caught him if the race went farther considering how slow the real in was and how close to topping it out i was my bumper might of got to his door.

Re: third gen on third gen action

Wow Brad, lies, lies, lies. Thats all you do is make up lies and excuses when you lose races. The race against Dave, and multiple races against JP(in his Altima and his Cobalt). Bondman isn't the only one, Bryce and Cody also said you were never even catching up to me. Just admit it, your car is NOT faster than mine.

Re: third gen on third gen action

I never saw where he said it was, and who cares if he was reeling you in, you won. Tell you how to resolve it; next time take a video camera and post a vid of it up on here. Honestly man WTF does it matter if he caught up with you a little or not. Then you rail him for having a bad reaction time, but you say you were off the throttle for 4 seconds trying to shift into 5th? Both sides of this story stink to me, I demand video of round 2!!!!! You even said so yourself you'll be even the next time out if he tunes it up.

Take it to the track. Whoever has "WINNER" next to his car on the time slip has the fastest car, at least for that race.

I never said 4 cars, find where I said 4 cars and I'll give you a cookie. You got put to my back bumper at the beginning, and thats where you stayed the whole race. There was no back and forth pulling and falling back like you seem to think. I too had my eye on your car then entire race, it's not like i was staring straight ahead the whole time. I'm sick and tired of your lies and your bending of the truth. Just like in your race against Dave that you claim wasn't a race because of your poor reactions, when he was like 5 cars in front of you and pulled back in your lane cause he had clearly won and you to this day have some stupid claim that you were flying back up on him. I remember like it was yesterday, he was way in front of you and you weren't gonna catch back up.

but you say you were off the throttle for 4 seconds trying to shift into 5th?
Ever drive an LS1 car with a bad master and slave cylinder that is in great need of at least the infamous drill mod? Try shifting gears when there is no pressure in the lines and the clutch pretty much does nothing but hang on the floorboard.

To those who want a video, I will try to get one on my phone next time, it was a spur of the moment thing and I was pretty excited and didn't even think to put it on video, but I guess I should from now on being that the loser in this race loves to bend the truth and make tons of excuses everytime he loses.

I'm done with this thread, so lock it or whatever, cause thats my story and I'm sticking to it along with the three other people that witnessed the race.

Re: third gen on third gen action

You know, I was probably pulling ever so slightly the whole time, that nobody ever noticed. Less when you were in your powerband, and more when I was in mine. Just that 3/4 of what I had on you in the end was gotten in the beginning.

I am tired of this argument also, and do feel like a 4 year old, but I have this thing where I just can't seem to let the other person lie and make excuses. I am actually done with thread this time for real. I promise.

I'll race you both and beat the both of you so neither of you can argue over who won or who pulled on who, you will both be too busy worrying about when the wings are going to come out the side of my car for take off LOL.

LOL my Jeep has the LS1 in it. Just kidding but all kidding aside this thread got ridiculous. Someone won and someone lost and that is the end of the story. Instead people want to act like a bunch of little girls and make excuses for this and that. Who cares if you missed a shift and then started to pull on him, as someone else said if I remember correctly, YOU STILL LOST.

Re: third gen on third gen action

Is this thread really happening?? My god, study hall must be empty while you guys are posting. LS1 guy, he said he didnt beat you, what else do you want? The whole world to respect your "unbeatable" LS1, grow the hell up. Thirdgen dude, let it go. Dont argue, it makes you look stupid too. You said your part, admitted defeat, let him whoop and holler like a fool.
