Kill: EG6
leaving my rents' house for my place in cleveland, as i turn onto 71 northbound from 83 south, a pretty nice eg6 infront of me with a very, uhm, bumblebee sounding exhaust, floors it "I THINK" it's hard to tell with those hugely oversized exhaust when they go full throttle.
in any case i keep up behind(entrance ramp) at about 70% throttle, after some fairly aggressive weaving to get next to each other, this dude and his two other friends are smiling ear to ear at me like christmas came early or something. no honking or whatever but we both rev a bit at each other, pulling ahead and fading back, we get even and i hear him downshift, i let him get his quarter up to my fender, and then i let it loose. within seconds he's four lengths back and im doing 111 mph when i let off,, then i slowed it down to 5 over to let him catch up.
the guy was cool, he didn't do the typical 89 mph fly by with the angry "got you in the end didn't i?" crap, just pulled up still smiling and holding up four fingers. i'm like "huh?" roll down my window and he goes "i've only got four man!" we both laugh and he pulls off at the next exit, cool guy.
car WAS a nice eg6, two tone silver and aqua metallic, looked like 18's, the uhm, exhaust, too. dunno what he had done under the hood but looked more show then go, at least he made it fun and wasn't a *****. hope to see him again if he gets a turbo kit or something.

Re: Kill: EG6
yea sorry i have a foot in each world so to speak, i own two camaro's, two trans am's, and a nissan pickup that shares a motor with the 240sx. guess the lingo doesn't travel, heh..
eg is a civic, eg6 is a civic hatch, 86 is a carolla,r32,r33,r34 refers to different generations of skyline's, s13,s14,s15 refers to either 240sx's or silvia's(same car mostly). they rarely use car names so much as the chassis number, i guess our cars would be F3's?

Re: Kill: EG6
More accurately, an EG chassis code on a Civic specifies model years from 1992-1995. The EG6 is a '92-'95 Civic hatchback. EK or EJ is from '96-'00.
I had an EG8 (sedan). It was only 16 seconds or so by the time I sold it, but it was a FUN car. And 33 mpg in the city is hard to beat.
Anyway, cool kill. I'm glad the guy wasn't a ***** about it. Those kids give Honda a bad name.

Re: Kill: EG6
I agree, getting rarer and rarer to have a race without some bs from the other guy. My favorite saying, i never say no. i don't pick race's with cars that have alot on me but i won't turn them down either, if a corvette revs on me i'll take that challenge, but i won't rev first see? but by the same token if i see a civic i don't rev first but if he wants the a** whoopin i'll hand it to him. i only really annoy people for a race when i don't know the outcome, there's a 3000gt vr4 on my street im hopin to see at a stoplight before the end of the summer.....
