Shot to my Pride

I'm heading somewhere with my girl in the car, and she hates when I race so I make a good effort to not mess around when shes in the passenger seat. So I see this rice fly up next to me. The car slows down right in my blind spot and slowly gets even with me. I look over and there are these three broads, and they are revving the engine at me. I used every ounce of concentration and effort to not open it up and leave em behind, and luckily for me I held back. But it hurt my pride to see ricers laughing at me, let alone they were girls, makes it ten times worse . Just wondering if anything like that ever happened to anyone else, it sucked

Honestly, at the power level of my car NOW, i laugh and blow the slow sticker boxes off like they are nothing. Have nothing to prove with this motor to a punk in a stock civic with a fart can. Whan i had 305 cars maybe, or something that was breaking down so i couldnt rag on it. I do however see some cars i want to kill and i am in my DD 94 GMC and i wish i was in my 89.

Re: Shot to my Pride

you should try to get your lady interested in cars and engines, then she'll want you to race... My lady loves it when I rev the engine and wants me to do it every single time we past any sort of car that looks sporty, no matter what it is...mustang, rice box, other f-bodies of all generations... vroom vroom

Re: Shot to my Pride

My girlfriend is the reason I did her car for her graduation. She wanted to be able to pull off on the mustang boys. She also had a thing against the ricers but she loves fast cars. By the way it happens a lot but I usually ignore the idiots because we only get the car out every once in a while. Seems like when we are out so are they.

Give her an ultimatum, tell her to get into cars or get out of your life!
That was a joke by the way, lol.

agreed, even with a mild 355, more often then not i just shake my head and tell them not to waste my time or gas.

all summer the only car i went after was some idiot in a cobalt ss with stickers all over it and Stage 2 written on the side. had his girlfriend in the car and kept trying to get me to go him.

realize pretty quickly that messing with those cars is nothing more then a waste of time. Mind you an LS1 powered vehicle rolls up on you and its time to see how you compare

same here. i dont waste my time with the poser r1ceboys. when they wanna run, i just tell them to come find me later when theyve located the other half of their motor

my girl is into cars, however. i bought her a 94' auto Formula and shes been modding/racing it for the last couple years. went 13.2 at 103mph with minor boltons (and thats with her driving!). with the Pacesetter longtubes she just bought for it, and the nitrous thats going on over the winter, she should be able to take down my LT4 Vette no problem! kinda embarrassing when your girl has the faster car, but i guess its kinda cool at the same time

well the car running well should run a 12.99, and i raced the car when i had horrible exhaust, now i have long tubes to mandrel y, was putting down 275 horse on the old exhaust with a garbage tune to the comp.

even still we rolled to a light almost to a stop and it went green so i said **** it, didnt even shift down into first (car has no power below 3500), just got on the throttle in second till it caught and by the time i was finishing third i think he was far enough back that he had completly given up lol, wasnt even close. Funny thing is he had his girlfriend in the car, she just slumped her head lmao, stupid rice burner.

the worst part is i did it in the dumbest area in town ever for getting booked, just to shut him up. im lucky i didnt get nailed. I try to be smarter about my time now, theyre definitly not worth that

So what's the power to the wheels in this oh-so-powerful Honda? (dyno numbers, or time-slip MPH)

No no no, I'm not asking what some jackass did on youtube (I didn't click the link, I don't need to I've seen fast imports at the track). I asked a specific question. That you-tube link isn't the answer.

I will run my mouth at ricers all day, but you ae only in that "group" if you wear a hat upside downs and backwards with 200 stickers, a fart pipe, neons and the works. If you do all of that, you are in the "group".

<----Dyno numbers as of june(we wont talk about TQ).. no timeslips. this summer is when i plan on tracking it, since the motor should be broken in and bought 2.9 axles.

I think any vehicle with half the cylinders and twice the horsepower is impressive. I'm talking about 800hp-stock block Supras and Skylines, but NOTHING looks as good as a fast thirdgen!

Ditto, its not that the cars are s*** or anything. There's quite a bit of very capable 4 cylinders . But i agree, if your a jackass about you civic and how its the sh** then you deserve to be kick in the face but that doesn't mean that civics or any other 4 cylinder engine is less capable. I think it kind of retarded how some people think that. Now personally i wouldn't go out and get a civic because its too much work to make it fast but i still have some respect for the guy thats pushing crazy amounts of power in a 4 banger.

But anyways.
