L98 vs
I am going to be racing an 06 Civic SI, and an Rx8. My car is a full bolt on L98 that runs 13.5's all day long, and ran a best of 13.3. Races will be 0-80. Will it be ugly?
And yes they talk alot. Both stock.

Re: L98 vs
if its going to be 0-80 them you should have a problem with eaither car. the rx-8 will more the likely get destroyed out the hole unless he can drive well. the civic isnt all that fast eaither. whats your time on your 1000ft.

Re: L98 vs
You are going to destroy them both like there is no tomorrow. In fact, you could spot them some distance.
Are you racing them at the same time? If you are not, I recommend you only race the rx 8 and not waste your gas on the civic, unless the losers fill up your tank. The civic is a low 15 sec car at best in its stock form. The rx 8 I think is about a mid to high 14 sec car.

Re: L98 vs
cant beleive your worried man
both cars are slow. I've raced both in my L98 and beat them all by lengths
SI is slow and rx8 at the track is slow too. they struggle to break into the 14's some times

Re: L98 vs
I have beat both cars in my LB9 before my rebuilt (my car used to run mid 14s in the quarter back then). You should not have any problems with either car. You are at least a second quicker than the rx8 in the quarter. That is a lifetime as fas as I am concerned.

Re: L98 vs
the only thing the rx8 will beat u in is a road course or some twisted roads.my bro has one there quick when they get going good.and the civic haha idk what it good at, maybe its good on gas lol.so yeah u should kill both car easy
Re: L98 vs
My girlfriend owned an RX8 and it was slow. It got beat by a 98 civic SI with exhaust so about 15.3 car. (20-75) My girlfriends brother owned an 06 RSX type S aka civic SI and he could only get a 15.4 @ 91mph so i really dont think you would have a probleme at all. Unless one of them has a power adder, your car breaks, a large man like beast stops your with his mind powers; i dont see you loosing.

Re: L98 vs
I just looked up the specs.
2005 RX8- 0-60 6.4 1/4 14.8. Motor trend
2006 Civic SI 0-60 6.8 1/4 15.8
Guessing the non SI is a high 16. lol. If they dont put any money down, this isnt worth my gas.

Re: L98 vs
I'll race an RX8 in the twisties any day. Even a dragrace again one with my little LG4 wouldn't concern me too much - the RX8 is a tough car to launch optimally.
