Midnight runs...

Was bored, so my brother and I went out to find someone to race against, just to see how my GTA does. Ended up meeting with a friend and his 06 Charger. Of course I lost, but it was fun! Didn't do as bad as I thought, considering he has cai, LT headers, 3" dual exhaust, and tune.

My first semi-real street race. I think more to come, it is quite exhilarating!

Haha! It was kind of a spur of the moment thing, didn't think to bring a camera. Next time I will.

It's the R/T. He beat me between 2-4 car lengths. But I had the jump and pulled ahead until about 50. I won't need too much to beat him, he does have about 600 more pounds on me.

I was thinking of keeping this GTA stock, but after last night, I want it to run as good as it looks

Yeah that **** kills me about get a video, you runup on a light w/ some one and run them. Hey dude wait a minute while I get my video camera out, wtf??? Sorry but when I race someone, I am concentrating on racing, not shooting a video. Maybe I am too old and have been around too long, but I don't even try to relate to that....

I figured it was close stock vs. stock. I'll probably have new exhaust come September and run him again to see how our cars compare with the same bolt ons.

I do have a friend that thinks his D16-swapped (didn't tell me which one specifically) CRX will beat me. I try to get him to race me, but typical excuses

Re: Midnight runs...

O6 Charger RT-14.3 1/4 mi.
11 Challenger RT 13.5 1/4 mi.
Had the chance to run an 11 RT Challenger a couple of weeks back, took him by 4-5 car lengths. They really are big heavy cars, both models...

Those are fun a friend and I swapped a H22 into his CRX sure we had to cut down the crank pulley and ditch the ac use a manual steering rack ect to get it to fit but 220 hp on a 1700lb car was just damn fun. With a factory engine he ran a 13.2 on average

He thinks he needs launch control Looks like he doesn't have any useful mods on his CRX but says it is modified.

And video...when I next have time to race I'll take some. Been very busy with work (trying to save up for headers )

Re: Midnight runs...

Yeah my car'll run high 12's-low 13's on street tires, and low-mid 12's w/ D.R.'s. 14.23 is pretty good for a TBI car!
